Is Dabulamanzi (the region name) colored different for a specific reason?

Don't blame Oliver, blame me. I told him to hold off on checking the XML because I've been working on a way to have fairer drops by manipulating the starting positions. Unfortunately, things have continually gotten in the way of my being able to complete it, but I assure you it's high on my priorities list.
Apologies,
Sully

It was by mistake, just changed it to the same colour as the others in the region. Checked all other chieftains as well. Thanks for spotting that.

And I told him to do it. He started it last Sunday. Sully, if you have a problem with the xml, you should of posted your concerns in the thread and let me deal with them. I do not see how as your name is not in the thread as the xml person or in any way connected to the map, the right to hold up the map.

The large version of the map takes almost 20 seconds to load, and that's at home with a high-speed connection. I hate to think what will happen if I ever have to play this thing on the road with the laptop and cell connection.
I think there's too much fancy-pants graphics now. I would go back 30 or 40 versions to when this map was nice and simple. Is anybody really going to be looking at Shaka's leggings to see if they're historically accurate?

The file is a large PNG file. When lack loads it to the site to play, it will be a much small JPEG. Go into one of nattys thread and you will find them slower as all of his are PNGs.

Okay, I finally finished what I've been working on. For the starting positions, you have to take into consideration not just the river warriors, but also the decaying territories within the 150-yard line and access to chieftains (i.e. the territories adjacent to the chieftains). So here is what I propose for the starting positions:
Code: Select all
<positions max="2">
<position>
<territory>S'phamandla</territory>
<territory>Zethembe</territory>
<territory>Njabulo</territory>
<territory>Sifiso</territory>
<territory>Mvuseselo</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Kwanele</territory>
<territory>Sbu</territory>
<territory>Thembinkosi</territory>
<territory>Amahle</territory>
<territory>Tata</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Thembelani</territory>
<territory>Simphiwe</territory>
<territory>Sizwe</territory>
<territory>Siphelele</territory>
<territory>Mthobisi</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Bandile</territory>
<territory>Sakhile</territory>
<territory>Thando</territory>
<territory>Sihle</territory>
<territory>S'kulekile</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Thulani</territory>
<territory>Sanele</territory>
<territory>Xolani</territory>
<territory>Phila</territory>
<territory>Mcebo</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Mmeli</territory>
<territory>Dingane</territory>
<territory>Dumisani</territory>
<territory>Sibusiso</territory>
<territory>Ayize</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Bonginkosi</territory>
<territory>Vusumuzi</territory>
<territory>Bongani</territory>
<territory>Kuhlekonke</territory>
<territory>Anya</territory>
</position>
<position>
<territory>Andile</territory>
<territory>Thabo</territory>
<territory>Sihlengosethu</territory>
<territory>Bhekizizwe</territory>
<territory>Mzwenhlanhla</territory>
</position>
</positions>

After checking the XML file, I am glad to confirm that everything in the code seems to be right.

Congratulations Flapcake and Koontz1973!

There are almost more maps on beta than alpha right now

! A lot of active mapmakers! I tip my hat to all of you.

Yep, and one of the 9 in Beta now will have the honour of being the 200th map on the site at present.

Right now we have 193 open maps on beta and alpha, and 5 closed maps. So that's 198 maps. We need 2 more maps to hit 200. This one will probably be number 199

! I've played on 194 of the 198 maps btw

Actually the next map to hit beta will be the 200th!
