If it wouldnt be too much trouble i suggest you redo the whole river, its width is always changing and there is too many rigid corners. The river between Biesbosch and Zuid Nederlands is one example, if you don't change it, it will be the one sore in an otherwise good map.

The river looks much better on the outside, but i still think you could do better for the parts of the river bordering Zuid Nederland. If you can be bothered, try making the river the same width (number of pixels thick) all the way through like you have done where the river is in the non-game playing area of the map.

Also aren't you going to draw dots or something to show the connections of the purple area? you have it in the previous version, y did u get rid of it?

P.S. Too bad you couldn't find something to go at the bottom, it looks so bleak now

I do not see any attack routes from the purple territories at the top. I assume they attack each other in a row, but who can they attack elsewhere?

_UPDATE_
gavin you read my mind about the purple areas. ;-)

i actually really liked it, it looked like a tear in textured paper. but i think it looks good the way youve redone it, too.

The flag area looks great, kudos.

The river is also looking better, but now you've got a little something to consider. The river in the nongameboard area is more depth...if you compare that to the other areas that are touched by river or ocean water. I suggest trying to keep everything uniform in feel and look.

I think purple territory needs one more border. bu most importantly, the inner bevel on the river outside the map are needs to be removed.

I know that the rivers are discussed before but I think that they are to wide.

Make them smaller so they are not dominate, especialy the rhine.

The countries count not the rivers

This contribution is also used to get more attention for this final. Otherwise it will be moved to the second page of the map-foundry
