Actually, I was just in a store the other day that still sold vinyl (or however the hell that is spelled) records. Who would buy them or have the means to play them (As the store sold no record players from what I could tell) I have no idea. My dad bought one a little while ago just for it's antique value. he also has like 100 records down stairs.

Yeah, my mother has a bunch of Van Halen records and other records downstairs, but no record player. Luckily, the great-grandmother I mentioned also happens to be our next door neighbor.
