I've been slacking on my fantasy scouting... but I can't wait for it either.

Wondering if it's time to let this thread fade into the bog at 500+ posts and give the New Season a fresh start with a NFL and NCAA threads.

I cry for the Big 10. They had a much better record the previous year.

College action's starting tonight with Oregan vs Boise State. Also, SC at NC State is on before that to tide us over. I'm getting kinda shaky...

While I admit I did overlook the pac-10 don't think I ever called them wimpy. I expect SEC, Big 12 and PAC 10 will again have big seasons overall.

Big 10 was supposed to be the "elite" conference up until their best team got run over by Florida and their second best team lost badly to USC. Since then SEC and Big 12 have risen to fame while the Big 10 has been cast down into mediocrity.

eagles looked a bit weak over the pre-season but I expect they'll fix at least some of their problems.

Don't know. I've heard Vick speak and while Im far from a fan of his I think he's legitimately trying to stay on a path that won't land him in trouble again.

I'm going to miss it. I'll catch most of the non-overlapping games on Saturday mainly Georgia Vs. Oklahoma St. Should be a good test for both teams to see how each will do this year. Of course the biggest all around game should prove to be Alabama Vs. VT

Yeah, both of those should be worth a watch. It would suck for either Georgia or OK St. to go down week 1, but it'll be good to get it out of the way early.

True regardless of what happens this week, I would imagine that both of them will rebound to have good seasons. Really I could see this game going either way (based on how ready both teams are for week 1) but I'd give Oklahoma the advantage because of home field and because I don't think Georgia's team chemistry will be quite good enough week 1.

Yeah that was horrible. Any word on how long they're going to suspend the Oregon player?

On another note, how crazy would it be if Colt McCoy won the Heisman and come draft time there were 3 Heisman quarterbacks up for grabs?

That would be nice.. but out of the 3 the only credible QB for the NFL will be Bradford.
Tebow will be a TE and Colt just aint got what the NFL is, hes more of a skat QB always out of the shotgun. I see Bradford going top 10 though if he can have a decent season. With the losses the Sooners had last yr I think he was real dumb not to come out this yr, he lost major money

I can somewhat agree with this post. I coul be wrong I don't know his size or weight but Colt McCoy has always looked small to me. Maybe too small for the NFL?

He is a lil short, but I think he is still a good QB. I think the thing that has him screwed for the NFL is the system he plays in at Texas. Had it been a more Pro style offense and he flourished like he has in the shotgun spread offense that hes in then he would be fine.
I think Tebow wont be a QB in the NFL though. unless hes a wildcat option.

Tebow might make a decent fullback tbh... Blount is out for the rest of the season.

Yeah I think if I was in their shoes I would make the same call the guy obviously has some anger issues that need to be worked out. I heard the guy from Boise State will not be suspended.

True dat. I can't remember his name, but yeah, the Boise guy isn't getting official sanctions, but the coach said he'd be punished at least a little for running his mouth and provoking the guy, which seems reasonable.
