A red behemoth stalks his prey. Seeing his target walk down a seemingly deserted street, he springs into action.

"Your mistletoe in no match for my TOW missle!" he cries, brandish a large shoulder mounted rocket launcher.

Suddenly, a man wearing a red uniform jumps out of an alleyway.

"Halt! I demand that you cease your actions in the name of DOOP" he declares, holding up a gloved hand.

"Haha, do you think mere words can stop me?" chortled the monstrosity as he took aim.

Suddenly, he noticed a television show playing in one of the storefronts and was distracted by it's dull droning of an audio track. This allowed both his target and protector time to escape.

Meanwhile, the shadowy group, sans one large alien dictator, advance on their target. Haven already given their victim a good clamping, one of them raises a Tommy Gun to finish off the job.

Out of nowhere, an athletic woman executes a textbook flying kick into one of the goons, knocking him into the crosshairs.

As he slumps to the ground, the woman quickly takes the intended target away in a green spaceship.

kwanton, Elzar, Mafia Goon has been killed!

It is now Day 3! With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

I'm trying to interpret what's happened here.
1. The guy in a red behemoth tries to kill someone is but is roleblocked by Zap Branigan
2. The mafia's kill backfires thanks to the 'athletic woman'. :D
3. The 'athletic woman' takes the mafia's target away in a green spaceship 8-[ Could this be a cult? But someone earlier metioned that a guy with a 1000 tentacles would be a cult recruiter :-s

I'm seriously confused. :-s :-s :-s

The "athletic woman" has to be Leela. She's captain of the Planet Express (a green spaceship). From the scene, she sounds like a busdriver.

Nice to see a string of Mafia gone. I'm going to go back over some early suspicions I had based on some Day 2 information, since I think I've got an idea.

strike wolf wrote:Other than that, I'm wondering if the mafia is a scattered group of mafia or the robot Mafia. Elzar did have robot mafia ties and "Clamps" were mentioned which is a strong indication of Robot mafia but I do not believe Lrrr has any Robot Mafia connections.

so:

Town roles:

Zap branigan (confirmed through night flavor?)
Fry
Leela
Bender
The Professor
Dr. Zoidberg-CPR Doc (died Night 1)
Nibbler-Sane Cop (died Night 1)

SK
Santa Claws

Mafia
Elzar-Goon (Died Night 2)
Lrr-Goon (Lynched Day 2)
Clamps (likely through scene flavor)
Donbot?/Robot Devil?/Mom?/???

To expand on this clamps is likely a mafia roleblocker or goon (with his character flavor godfather, cop or doc seems unlikely). If I was to guess the most likely flavor wise to be godfather I would probably say Mom. She was initially seen by the public as a kind old lady. It wasn't until later appearances that that facade wasn't used as much.

Well, before I posted requesting the presence of non-voters that as you put it "added nothing" there were less active voters than were needed to lynch and five days left, without mentioning my suspicion towards non-voters it would have been likely that freezie wouldn't have even needed to claim, I don't see how that was to scum's benefit.
Speaking of which, my suspicion is on said non-voters still, seeing how it was so close to deadline with little activity, I'll reread to see who was active before I get into specifics.

So, judging by the scene, someone blocked the SK?

If that's the case it might make sense for the roleblocker to claim.

Flavor text definitely points much more strongly towards roleblocker than towards doc.

Either way Zap knows and if he is a role blocker he should know he caught the SK.

True. So if he doesn't reveal the target I guess we can assume he's a doc.

I don't know, maybe I'm reading into it too much, but the Zapp/Santa scene doesn't make sense to me. I think there's another person involved.

I can't see Zapp as doc. He's completely inept. Maybe roleblocker, but then why would Santa get distracted by the tv? It specifically states that Santa started to aim on Zapp. So then I got to asking myself which characters are related to television. Calculon? Or perhaps Morbo.

Hm... random musings, pay no heed.

So...you're saying that you believe those who didn't vote for freezie are possible scum? That would be Fircoal, Haggis, naxus, Commander, drunk, and kwanton (deceased scummy).

Fircoal--inactive
Haggis--mostly inactive, recent posts regarding flavor
naxus--sparsely active D2, votes chu immediately after / makes a case against the chu.
Commander--hasn't posted in the game since the 10th, argued with Strike
drunk--don't have much to say. New, went for Gilligan. Supported freezie by resuming the Gilligan case?

Everybody loves Hypnotoad?

I don't think inept doc really fits Branigan flavorwise. Insane is possible. Honestly I would say role blocker fits best (he's always interfering somehow).
I could see a tv role being a role blocker. Calculon and possibly morbo are major enough to be included.

I didn't give much thought to the TVs, but that almost has to be Hypnotoad:

Suddenly, he noticed a television show playing in one of the storefronts and was distracted by it's dull droning of an audio track. This allowed both his target and protector time to escape.

Zapp sounds like he could be a passive protector? Maybe he jumps in to protect Leela if she's targeted?

Ah! Shame on me. Yes Hypno-toad should've been obvious, but it slipped my mind. So whoever is Hypno-toad targeted Santa. I have strong suspicions that Hypo-toad would be mafia, though, so maybe that's why he hasn't come forth.

And Strike when I said inept, I meant he's too stupid to be a doctor. I don't believe there's any way he would be a doc.

I missed the dull droning too. I would say it may be too early to say that hypnotoad hasn't spoken up because he's mafia basically because not everyone has spoken today.

As far as zap. I get what you are saying now but it does raise further questions about what his role could be if he is not the role blocker or an inept doctor...

Could Zap be a town roleblocker and HypnoToad a mafia roleblocker?

Pirates of the Caribbean. Quick lynches prevented discussion in that game.
