Absolutely nice one :D Thanks for nice work.
A few points i would like to add and present to your attention.
  1. If there is a way to see whom i invited in the game ? Simple, it simply says reserved. But i dont remember whom i invited after a while, say 30 minutes later. In some way, if i can see the names of whom i invited in games.
  2. What if i made a mistake, accidentally i invited wrong one in game then i want to cancel the invitation ?

Again, thanks a lot for such a nice addition. And hoping to see further improvements on this as i stated a few of them above.
Cheers.

gman2725 - Your assumption that we only get a small fraction of the amount is wrong, but even if that was the case I disagree that it is unfair. You felt that $25 was a fair price for the benefits of Premium Membership and we are delivering what you paid for and now more. And I'm sure a large majority will continue to pay $25 via credit card moving forward. As for TrialPay not honouring rewards or installing spyware, if that turns out to be a problem with us we will re-evaluate our partnership with them.

Crissipos - Are you looking on the My Games -> Awaiting Players screen? Do you have any casual games there with -empty- spots?

If you reread my post then you will see that I've been involved in a deal with trialpay before when I was admin of a gaming site. We would charge for donation packs and trialpay came to us with the same sort of partnership. You're not getting anywhere near 25 dollars per person from trialpay, so in effect, those of us who actually paid money are paying more for our memberships. This is unfair to those of us who were loyal enough to support CC before you made this deal with the devil. If you would have checked before making this deal, you would have an abundance of evidence to support my claims about trialpays downsides as well. The mear fact you snuck the trial pay announcement into the game invite announcement makes me think staff were aware ahead of time that it needed to be downplayed because of possible backlash. Also, you can claim they're paying whatever you want but I still have my documents from when trialpay was paying me and I can show that you are indeed getting less per person than most of us paid fpor our memberships. What's next? Going to start selling our email addresses to spammers? Oh wait, thats what trialpay's offer affiliates do already.

To anyone considering signing up for offer pay, don't. Within 3 days of singing up for any of the offers you can expect an additional 1000+ pieces of spam or so to show up in your email box. Filling out any offers requiring you real street address with get you handfulls of junkmail sent to your home. Any offers that ask for your cell phone # will end up sending you text spam at the very least. On my site several of our members were signed up for Predicto without their consent and charged 10 dollars a month for it on their cell bills.Go ahead, download one of the toolbar offers or even a screensaver or wallpaper pack. Then go run spybot s&d or malwarebytes and come post the results here. I could go on and on about the downside to this but a simple google search should be enough to open anyones eyes.

For my tournament I now send PM's. I think I will try the invite option for the next round of games.

However not everybody joins the games within 24 hours. Is there a way to make sure either the spot stays reserved for longer, or the invite PM will not delete automatically after 24 hours, so players can still join the game later on without me needing to send them the password via a new PM.

Lack opted for a 24 hour reserveration since currently Conquer Club mostly operates on a 24 hour time-scale---think of Turn times for Sequential and Freestyle, etc. If there is enough demand for a longer reserveration period, we can look into that after the 24 hour reserveration has had some time for us to acquire data.

I tend to agree with Forza that a longer time frame would be nice.

Also, since you've indicated that players can disable invites, is there a way to tell that an invite isn't going through. I'd like to know if one of my tournament players isn't getting the invite because its turned off. (I'm looking at you JR)

Or do you get a message saying that the player can't receive invites?

Also it would be helpful for a message when a player declines an invitation to come up. I just tested it and there is no notification that an invitation has been declined.

this makes the friends list infinitly more useful

also, for the trial pay, is it a year at a time, or is this like "apply to our credit card for 2 months premium membership!"

If the player has invites turned off you'll get an error message when you try to send an invitation

PROBLEMS:

(1- I was making games, and putting in people for reserves, and a player I didn't want to be in it joined. This in itself is not a problem because I can always just restart, but after reserving 7 people I realized this. Then I had to talk to them and tell them to drop it and why. Any way to fix that?

Also, is there somewhere where it shows who you have invited to your games? There is nothing in the outbox or sent messages :?

Fantastic update Lack! Great to see your continued efforts at work on the site.

lackattack wrote:TrialPay is now available as an alternative to credit card and PayPal. Click the TrialPay button, complete one of their offers, and you will then get Conquer Club Premium Membership for free! The offers depend on your location, and many involve puchasing something else like movies or flowers, but in the United States you can simply apply for a credit card and that's good enough, even if you never use it ;)
One thing to keep in mind for all you people who are thinking of applying for a credit card, it will lower your credit score and making obtaining credit in the future more difficult. Unless you of course haven't ever had a credit card or credit, and then in that case, if you use the card wisely, it will help you establish credit, and make it easier to obtain more credit in the future.

EDIT: So I recommend the flowers, send them to your wife, sister, mother, or other significant other.

Just want to build on the idea of the tournoment use of this update.
Since sending out invites, one has replied saying that they don't like the particular map and declined it. I have since sent another pm saying that it was a tournoment game and that changed their mind. Another addition i would like to bring up is to write a message with the invite where you can say whatever you want.
ie: it's a tourny game, or here's a list of who's playing, or just to say 'hi'.

It should temporarily lower your credit score, and later raise it, if you keep the card open without using it. This is because you will then be using a smaller portion of your available credit. in the long run, this could actualy make it EASIER to open additional line of credit, assuming you give it a year or two to take positive effect on your credit score. So, just open the card, and put it away (maybe a lock box or safe) and keep an eye on the thing. ;)

improve your credit score! UPGRADE TODAY

I still have no solution to my problem.

It's a good thing I wasn't in a bad mood this morning, or I would have overreacted and left for good.
