Not to be a nag, but this game was still missing on the scoreboard update. I just want to make sure Jobiwan and I don't miss out.

Haha it's not nagging, you deserve your points! Anyway you're right, there are 53 points on the scoreboard and 57 should have been given out. I'll add them.

I have a quick question about the scoring system. I apologize if you answered it earlier in the thread.
Am I correct in assuming the following:?
-you get 1 point per termination
-in non terminator games, you still get a point for every player you eliminate.
Here is my question. Due to the randomness, there is a very uneven playing field. If I am randomly placed in three 8 player terminator games, i can get a possible 21 points. If I am placed in three 3 player terminator games, I can only score 6 points, and possibly be eliminated even if i win all three games.
Is this an intended side effect, since the players placed in larger games have more point opportunities? Or are you taking measures to try and make things as even as possible by making sure that all the players get a similar opportunity for points?
If my thinking is flawed, feel free to correct me

Two counterpoints to your theory- First, although the player in smaller games has fewer points to score, I would argue they have a better chance to get those points. There is still some bias towards the larger games. (3-player game, 2 pts, average score is 2/3 of a point vs. 8 player game, 7 pts, average score is 7/8 of a point. In any game, eliminating even one player is a better then average result, but from a probablistic viewpoint the expected score is better in a larger game.) Second, since it is random who is in which games, it is still fair as you are no more likely or less likely to get the large game advantage then any other player. (Think of the coin toss for an NFL game. Winning the coin toss is an "unfair" advantage, particularly for overtime, but the coin toss is still considered fair because it is random and both teams have the same chance of getting that unfair advantage.) At risk of sounding pedantic, your question shades into heavy philosophical territory, as it hinges upon what
is fairness: equality of outcome (that everyone get the same tournament structure) or equality of opportunity (that no bias pre-exist so that everyone has the same chance for whatever happens.) This contest structure is designed for equality of opportunity w/ no claims of equality of otcopme...

YF explained it well. There is an advantage for larger games, but only slightly. 7 points/8 people is greater than 1 point/2 people. I considered giving the winner an extra point, but I had already sent out the games and decided not to change the rules. But the fact that the game sizes are random, and the fact that the tournament will rarely hinge on a single game, makes it a lot more fair. I just go to our streaky friend random.org and generate random integers ranged 2-8, then randomly order the ints 1-27 to fill the slots.
Around round 6 or so I'll check to see if anyone has consistently gotten small games. Then I may have to bend the "randomness" to their advantage a bit.
