I rather you have left it alone.
Any reason? This won't be enough to convince me

the thread you started was 56 and now you changed it after it was full, a little misleading
but, its your tourney

Misleading? I've announced it in the thread and it's seen in the Subject. I think everybody will get the info if they are even a little bit interested. If it makes you feel better I will also message everybody and let them know about the changes

And yes, it is my tournament and that's why I'm making it bigger so I wouldn't have to say no to people who wish to take part in it.
For some reason, that reminds me. Your Top 5 list is yours but why haven't you added first 5 to 20 tournaments to it?

that is a good suggestion, perhaps you could post in there and give me the names of the top 5 to do it, and i could add it, it also would be nice to know all the totals and for fun, who is in 6th and 7th place

Yep, as barterer said, I had other single players who wished to play so I was matchmaker and put them together as a team

Amazzony: I have to say I share Blitz's sentiment. I signed up because it was a relatively small tournament and now it gets bigger and bigger. I won't drop out, but I'd rather have less than more teams. Obviously my personal opinion

I understand that it was meant as smaller before but I never categorize tournaments by their size. More important things, for example, are quality and to give everybody who wish a chance to play. Besides the facts that game count will be a bit bigger and that it will take longer to finish and give me extra work and probably worries I see no reason why I should say no to teams and players who wish to play. If I knew that it's going to be so popular, I would have made it big right away and I'm sure that most of you would have still joined. Also, there won't be any bad feelings if some teams decide to drop out, it's understandable.
And, for situations like that, I have always had this in my introduction post:
If I feel that something needs changing then I have the right to do if it's fair to everybody and is in the benefit of the tournament.
When deciding to make the tournament bigger then I found it fair to everybody and in the benefit of the tournament

sorry I didn't see anyone mention this in the rest of the thread but from the rules it looks like if you lose a game but kill 2 or 3 opponents, you'll get more points than the team that wins. seems kinda silly to me (the only way the winning team gains more than the 1 winning point is by winning before round 6, killing an opponent in 3 rounds, or keeping everyone alive). if you get down to 1v2 or 1v1 it's actually better to lose presuming none of the other winning exceptions come into play.
perhaps I misunderstood the rules?

This is a legitimate gripe.
The way to remedy the situation is to give everyone on the team a piece of candy for winning and an extra for everyone left alive etc.
Whereas the losign team will just get the number of players they eliminated as a total amount.
For example.
If my team "platinum status" blows our opponents out before round 6 and kills one player before round 3, but we lose 2 of our guys then the totals will be:
+1 for winning
+1 for eliminating a player before round 3
+1 for winning before round 6
PER PERSON.
So our team total would be +12.
The losing team would get +2 (for killing two players)
This might be a little too much bonus for winning, but you should adjust the payout so that it is NEVER in your best interest to throw a game.
Alternatively you can just give the winning team +4 and then add the bonuses.
That way worst case, the losing team get +3 and the winnign team still gets +4, even if one guy just barely pulled it out.
That is probably the best.
