I will be renewing,i don't play for ratings and medals...i play for the love of the game and there's is no better place to be than here.

....and for a quarter of the price of an xbox game and a 100x the longevity, there's no argument.

The OP suggested that bias, but don't let that put you off. Answer the question as it stands. If ratings affect your answer so be it. If other things that are more important to you affect your answer, again fine. Answer accordingly. Fortunately the OP made the best kind of poll - one where you can change your mind.

Myself I'd be curious to read this thread again in 12 months and see how many of us who voted* yes were still premium and, perhaps more interestingly, how many who voted* no were still premium.

[* Voted and posted to confirm their position of course; since voting is invisible.]

So, for the record, "yes".

Not sure how that would be accurately assessed, as the poll states- at this moment in time. My personal goals have been satisfied, as my enjoyment came from climbing the boards and interacting with all the new people I've met. It however may change in a months time albeit a new ranking system or whatnot that would alter what I'd like to accomplish. Like I said, ratings would have a nil affect on me renewing or not. It's simply not that important to base my membership on. I'd like to be higher than 4.7 but hey- I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

A perfect example is my buddy Rashid has been on the fence on whether to retire or keep playing. The circumstance I think that will weigh heavily on his decision to play would have to be Blitz's new 5K thread. He's certainly capable and will most likely be the 5th player all time to do it. Certainly a great reason to stay- and of course keeping pwning his buddy Scott ;)

I can see where people think they have done it all. Those people will eventually move on. I enjoy the people the most in the games I play. Most of them that is. The game sometimes becomes a side venture more than chatting.

No

But it may be a moot point. By the time my membership comes up for renewal I may have already been gone from this site for months.

Sure, I liked the old feedback system too. But it doesn't change the games one iota.

And yes, at this moment I'd re-up. If I end up choosing not to, it'll be because I need a break or don't have the time anymore, not because of ratings.

what? you're here to play risk? that's a bit sad.

The feedback system was nice. It was easier to get problems on my ignore list before I encountered them in a game. Ratings are rather worthless, but I'm here to play.

I'd re-up my membership, even if I had to sell my wife to do so.

You've already played nearly 1,000 games. When were you planning to go premium?

i would still renew my membership, without a doubt. i am confident the new classic
will be superior (i hated the old one and never played it), and i already like the assault
cubes better than the dice.-0

No more dice complaints! And complaining about "assault cubes" sounds like a whacked out alien conspiracy theory.

They are called INTENSITY CUBES thank you very much.

And OF COURSE I would renew. No matter what's gone wrong, this site will always bounce back. It's still a great site no matter what. The people helping this site are truly giving and under-appreciated. They deserve a lot more than what they are getting right now (i.e. the 1000+ complaints after an incident such as this). You all must realize the changes implemented were for the better of the site, because no one wants legal issues to surface, now do we? I love this site, and I'd gladly renew my membership at any time. This place is so much fun.

:D

To be honest if there is no temporary replacement for the horrid flow chart that is the new classic map in another week or so I'm seriously considering leaving the site. Not because I'm impatient, but because I don't want to reward bad management.

you should follow what is going on, instead of bitching and moaning. andy already stated a temporary replacement map would be up within a few day. i believe it was 3-4 days... and i would still renew, as i stated before. there are 98 other maps that have not been affected. and i never play classic, because i hate it. now, with a new classic map in the works in the foundry, i look forward to something being created i may actually play!-0
