I hate the Crossword, you can't even tell where you are going to attack,
on the other hand I love the space game becuase it's the only one that
goes beond earth

I hate crossword too, but my personal favs are space, USA, and I'm trying out USApocalypse, so I don't know what to think of it yet... and my overall rating for the entire game is 10!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's awesome

Montreal blows because their are issues with the amount of bonus points given in relation to the numbers of territories and numbers of issue points each "country" has. Plus it's ugly.

French Canadians, I haven't dealt with. The closest thing I've had experiences with are Cajuns and find them to be decent people. Although hearing "over they-uh across the riv-uh" for the 1000th time got annoying, I do miss eating crawfish served on the Sports section of the Times-Picayune.

Its (circus maximus) more waiting for everyone else to kill each other while you sit tight. I personally think that the darts being made in the forum is basically a circus maximus with continents and a middle bit.

Ive played so many games on indochina and i still suck at it.

Well, really we can start to talk about the darts map here... its still not alive but I already hate it.

What map will be less played? Darts, Crossword, or Circus? Opinions?

circus maximus is an amazing map. You just need to have right straguhdee. See game 76241 for details.

Ive looked at the Circus Map....Ugh...not one I am likely to try....Im still new and all, but doesnt look like it would appeal to me.

I made the 22 maps Tournament so I could have a better understanding of all the maps on CC and it's made me truely aware that only a couple are really any good.. Classic, N America, Philippines and Middle Earth. CCU and Discworld are medium quality. I'm still unsure about Europe - i hate square edges to a map. Space - I feel, was a great oppertunity wasted.. the spaceships could of had their names taken from famous films (Death Star, deep space 9 etc. - WTF is Yaggdrissill all about?)

The above listed maps, (if were printed on paper) I wouldn't even use to wipe my arse with after a fucking massive, post curry, dump. All the time and effort that went into them has been a complete waste of time (mind you - some of them had a lot less time spent on them than others - some took 3 hours to make)

We have now run out of most of the world to steal ideas from.

Can we please have maps placed in some sort of order. Not when they were made - but rather how often they are played?

If I was new joining this site, I'd like to chose a map that unknown to me, was in some sort of ranked order of popularity. When I started here- i had to make maps that I wanted in my style of gameplay. I pity the poor sods that turn up now with an understanding of Risk and decide to create a map - but choose something thats new and different to them, and plump for Great Britain because they come from Scotland or something like that.

And why the f*ck has everyone got to draw maps with north facing north? - GB would of made more sense turned through 90 degrees - so it fitted in the screen beter - thats why you stick a fucking compass on on it - to let people know which way is north. If the map is the right way up f*ck off with the compass. It's not new, and it tells you nothing.

Crossword is just plain annoying. I only played it once, and although I won, it annoyed me how I had to take 3 turns to eliminate a player because of the set-up. Plus I spent hours trying to figure out which lines belonged to which continents *shudder*

Discworld is the spawn of the devil to me. I always loose badly when I play that map.

I really like Circus Maximus, and if you play it right its very easy to get points from that map.

i have never played the crossword game but it looks like it would be to much like hard work

My favorite is Ireland.
I hate CCU.
Greece is good but I never win on it.
Usapoc is good too.
Brazil is so-so.
Monteal really sucks.
Circus Maximus sucks even worse.

i love circus maximus, ive got a nice strat for it that worked without a hitch in my one game on it lol so im 1 for 1!

To me it seems like this thread is getting nowhere, there are maps that some people hate and other people love. Its all one's own opinion.

But, I guess people can voice their opionion. So, carry on.
