Norse however, I saw his racist stuff. I guess these guys are used as examples of what happens when the rules aren't followed.
I do know that what xtra was saying about not being told where he was making his mistakes and that
has happened to many people.
I was told by Wicked that the mods are now letting people know where there offenses are when they receive a nasty gram from the mods.
As far as Xtra, he is like the people who are blowing up Abortion Clinics. He is dramatic and just wants everyone to know about the Government. He has been conditioned to be that way. Just like a cult. However, he would say that non-believers have been conditioned to believe everything the government says and turn a blind eye.
I saw he was asked politely by the Higher powers of CC to keep his views to only 1 thread, and he didn't do it.
I am not saying he deserves a ban, that is not up to me to decide thank goodness.
The Mods are running this site the way the owner wants them to do it. I think they do a good job, for only being human.
That's not saying I agree with banishment. I have no opinion. I don't like seeing people be banned though.
Norse got banned from CC all together, as well. For racism (forum ban) and being a multi (site ban).
Xtra, however, has never had any mod provide any evidence of him being a multi or posting pornography.
If Xtra was a multi, he would have been kicked off the site as well, but he hasn't...
And I don't see what Xtra did in his short time here that got Twill all worked up over? Xtra just posted a political thread and Twill decided to lock it down...that is absurd, maybe the rest of us wanted to continue on that subject?

Actually, I think these guys along with Norse and Xtra contribute a hell of a lot to the forums. Their posts entertain me and make me laugh sometimes. All I see from you is a constant whining, whinging and bitching. How is that contributing to the forum other than filling it further disputes and violence.

suggs is hilarious in his own peculiar way. as for firth, hisopening of the "clan Firth" was genius. he got 10 people and made a clan. none of these people actually agreed to join(including me), but somehow he blagged the mods into thinking hey had.

Xtra was banned for trolling, mostly. The swearing was just the final straw. His 9/11 threads were never intended as serious discussion. Is there any difference between making 30 threads entitled "I like pie" and 30 of Xtra's 9/11 threads in which he never actually presented a counter-argument? After the first few threads of his arguments being demolished, he slipped into "go back and re-read" mode. Nothing after that was intended as a debate, because he knew he couldn't win those. Instead, they were intended to piss the debating community off. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but once it started going on for as long as it did, it fell firmly into the category of "trolling". And I, for one, am not sad to see trolls go.

The mods need to be consistant and permaban everyone and anyone else guilty of the same offence.
In this case xtra was released, either deliberately or by mistake. My take on it is he should then be allowed to stay until such time he reoffends, sort of like parole or probation. Restrict his access to certain forums so that he can't offend, that is possible with this forum software.

where i live it is quite common/acceptable to call someone a beaner to piss them off or belittle them.
but for us a beaner is an accountant.

After reading one of xtra's posts, I feel like my mind had been raped by his lack of sense and he had beaten me with his horrid grammar and spelling.
Also, you brought up the whole parole analogy. By all rights, xtra was in prison (for what ever the reason) for life (hence the term "Perma[nent]ban"). He managed to get out of said prison when he wasn't supposed to, thus he was locked back up. It doesn't matter whether or not you dealt drugs, DUI'd, raped, murdered, stole, ect. ect. If you escape from prison without valid reason (ie you broke out of jail) you're gonna get locked back up. xtratabasco was not on "parole", as he did not make a deal with the moderators to get out early, he was an escapee. Since he was out when he shouldn't have been, back into jail he went!

Norse was Perma-Forum-banned for being offensive, but banned off the entire site (slightly later) for making multis.

People were putting a big stink over it because Norse had a lot of freinds here and he only started a multi account so he could try and come back to talk to some of his freinds...but, alas, the hounds latched on to him. His commentary is sorely missed. Even if you get caught as a multi you should be allowed some sort of chance to come back. I am not condoning what Norse did or what other players have done, I am just saying there might be some merit in some of these individuals to want to come back and keep their noses clean. A sort of CC parole system should be implemented.

The word has multiple meanings, and yes, one of them is word of honor. Perhaps there is a different term in for this in your country. For Americans parole usually means releasing someone before the end of their sentence but keeping them under supervision. This is what he was referring to.
