Completely agree with you on that one. Greatest song writer in my opinion.
But I quite like Billy Corgan's voice so I guess my vote goes for him.

Yes Bob Dillon is a flaming genius.. but his voice, although somehow perfect for the songs, is bloody awful in many ways.

At the risk of wholesale abuse I will venture that Eva Cassidy had a fantastic voice - her interpretation of fields of gold is absolutely haunting.
