The Vikings, Saxons et al. forcefully invaded another country, slaughtered a vast amount of the population, raped and pillaged centres of culture, set themselves up as exploitative authoritarian rulers, practiced systematic immigration to drive out the last remaining remenants of the 'native' population...

i used to be one of them also, but then i realized world is more complicated then that and idealism doesn't work in practice, same like communism...

Suggs was trying to draw comparison to an archaic age tribe, to a modern day computer-age immigrant issue. Where these kind of incidents (ie rape and plunder) were frequent across the whole of europe during archaic times, as opposed to the NHS/benefits rape that happens today... and I turned it around so as to show up the idiocy in the comparison he was trying to make.

you can't get along with everyone. i like those ideals too but many exploit them to achieve their own goals. let's elaborate: chinese people come here legally - it's o.k. by me but then when one of them dies they don't register this and instead they bury him somewhere and another one comes from china to replace him (this was proven, went to newspapers). also most of them don't know a word of croatian nor are willing to learn (when in rome do as romans do). why would we trust them if they exploit our good faith?
