Some people like to put packets of C4 on the stairs, so when they go BOOM! no more going across the stairs because theres a big hole through them. Others put them all in a line BOOM!BOOM!BOOM! and hide them so no one sees then BOOM when someone is walking by so they fall off the stairs.

moral of the story:
why bother attempting to climb the stairs when some guy is just going to mess it all up for you, anyway?
