I'm back from vacation, and got this one mostly updated except for the most recent batch of matches.

I'll try to get that updated tomorrow night with this weekend's matches going out in the next 48 hours

Congrats to our early conference leaders Kansas City in the West and Orlando in the East.

Also note, the addition of our top 10 by position (posted below the active weekly scoreboards). This gives a look at who has the best front line, coach and back line in the league.

Standings are updated...Kansas City has the top record so far at 7-1-0.
And in the East, the top five teams are just two points apart in what's shaping up to be a wild chase.

New standings and results are up, along with a new leaders tally (top-10 at each position).

Philadelphia (j1mathman) is the top scoring team early in the season with 21 goals already.

Also a heads up, if you go to the Tourney list in CC, I've got a new sports-themed tourney taking sign-ups.
That one will be following the NBA playoffs.

Standings are updated with shoop76's DC United moving into the point-leader top spot with 25 ... 8-1-1 record.

shoop76 and the DC United top the league with 31 points as we near the halfway point of the season. He also boasts the league's top scoring group (F/MFs).

I knew they were coming, but these mid-week matches snuck up on me, so hoping to send out two big batches of games tonight.

DC United and shoop76 are off to a high-flying start at 12-1-1 with 37 points as we near the mid-season mark.

Completed matches are updated...I'll work on getting the June 29th matches out tonight/tomorrow.

Just a heads up on two notes...

1. I'm heading on a final summer vacation to the beach for a week, so updates may be slow in the coming days.

2. The real MLS is into its Olympic-break right now, and doesn't resume until late August.
For us, we will have a short break from new games going out -- a chance for all players to get back up to speed.

Then I will send out new matches here in a few weeks. I'll try to give us a little jump, in hopes that our CC playoffs can correspond closely with the real MLS playoffs.

That leaves 11 open spots to battle for as we head down the stretch.

updated...DC United has secured the #1 seed in the East.

Still plenty of movement in seedings to decide over these final few matches of the regular season, but only two spots (in the East) still up for grabs to make the bracket. Good luck as we wind down the regular season.

The East Bracket is set...wildcard match has been sent out ... New York City at Toronto.

The West Bracket still has a couple active matches that can affect seeding, but should be determined in the next few days.

Seems like MLS is constantly changing its playoff structure. Note that the first-round is a best-of-3 series with the higher seed hosting Games 1 and 3 (if necessary).

No aggregate scoring, just a straight up 2 of 3 matches.

Also, of note, the MLS Cup (championship match) is played at the site of the team with the better record. (No neutral site for MLS)
