if the president reveals Top Secret anything that means whomever he reveals it to is authorized to receive it the moment he speaks
I put an option for "if the president does it..." in the poll.
but then you posted fake news in the body text, which I corrected
Nice try.
no prob, you're welcome

Meh, it's about as neutral as I can make it.

I just don't find it that interesting. Like other presidential scandals, the media is obsessed with trivial peccadilloes while ignoring the real story.
In Nixon's day, we had a two year media circus about a failed attempt to spy on his opponents while the real story of the time was completely missed: why did the savings from the end of the Vietnam War not result in tax relief for the people? One of the most expensive wars in history ends, and unlike previous wars neither government expenditures nor taxes went down afterward.
In Clinton's day, we had a two year media circus about where he was sticking his dick, while several real stories were missed. In foreign policy, there were several aggressions with questionable rationale, such as the war on Serbia. Domestically, there were no questions being asked about why an alleged liberal was vastly expanding the "War on Drugs", putting 100,000 more cops on the street in his first two years alone, increasing mandatory sentencing, supporting school snitch programs, etc.
Now we will have a two year media circus about Trump swapping a few handjobs with Putin, while we will ignore, for instance, another massive peacetime expansion of the military budget, and this at the urging of a president who pretended to be mainly non-interventionist during his campaign.

In China they restrict conversations about sensitive topics and that's bad while in America they use distractions to draw people away from the sensitive topics and that's okay because it's just democracy.

I know that you're pretty sceptical (to say the least) about journalism in general, but if your suggestion equates to essentially not reporting on the US president, I beg to differ.
Would you really prefer a fourth estate akin to Russia's? I know Trump would.
Holding people in power to account is a worthy cause. It's not even an either/or situation. The Trump administration is up to all the shenanigans you list. This thread started off specific, but I'm not sure I can keep up with all the fallout.

The "powerful" doesn't only include people you dislike. The "powerful" also includes your heroes; the global war mongers like the former Director of National Intelligence under whose supervision the virus that brought down the NHS was created. Who is not held to account by the media.
Since the media won't hold the powerful U.S. Intelligence Community to account, Trump should. As soon as he returns from the rainbow tour he should send a column of tanks crashing through the front gates of Langley and burn the bitch down. He may not be able to fire middle-managers who have civil service protection but he can relocate them to a vacant parking lot to do their work on manual typewriters as their HQ smolders.

I'm not sure demolishing the CIA's headquarters would help his case. To be fair though, given the mess he's in, there's a good chance that he'd do it if the right person whispered in his ear. Have you considered applying for a job in the White House? Or the Russian Embassy? Same difference, of course.
On a lighter note-
Did you know that Trump is irrationally terrified of staircases?
]This particular rumour was first written about in newspapers like The Telegraph, who quoted government sources in Washington DC. Politico quoted a British government source, while Theresa May's spokeswoman - quoted in The Times - appeared to back up the theory that it was the ramp, and not a sudden rush of emotion, that prompted the hand holding. "They were walking along. There was an unseen ramp. He put out his hand. She took it."

I think that most Americans were just about hopeless that anyone would ever be able to stand up to the identity politics and political correctness that were fostered by Obama. I voted for Obama, both times, and have been a staunch democrat my entire life. Now we have no more free speech, A complete blindness to any kind of reality other than Black Lives Matters and Open Borders. You dare not have any view contra to the official position of the left or you will be immediately called out, ridiculed, and shunned even by your closest friends. People with different views, actually a majority of the country, are afraid to even admit any disagreement. Political correctness run amok!
Then a hero arose from the Ashes, a rude, vulgar man, who fornicates with Russian Whores and grabs hollywood starlets by their cunts! Yes, he is the one, the only one who could possibly stand up and voice his opinion, (even if he is not quite sure what that is....lol). The reason why? He just doesn't give a f*ck! Yes, that is the man I voted for, did I have any other choice? I can't even begin to think who else would possibly be able to stand up to all of the abuse of the very liberal left, the establishment right, and most importantly the extremely bias mainstream media. Who else?
So, I, myself, don't really give a f*ck about what anyone says about him, or really, whatever he wants to do. He is the only choice, and I don't see anyone else that could even remotely be able to fight against all of the forces marshaled against him.
There's also the fact that mainstream media is so absurdly bias that most Americans have zero faith in anything that spews forth from them. All the democrats and their media supporters are doing is trying to influence the 2018 and 2020 elections. It's like an endless campaign, without any regard for supporting the government. I'm no redneck, I've lived in LA my whole life and have a graduate degree from the University of California, despite which, even I can see that it's muslims that are blowing things up, and that a very, very, high percentage of LA is illegal immigrants who get free medical care, food and housing subsidies, and work under the table and have a full income on the side.
All of this might sound racist, but I am married to a Mexican immigrant, and my adult son is gay. My stepfather is also a Mexican immigrant, and I can say with a great degree of certainty that the overwhelming majority of second generation hispanics in LA want Trump to build that wall. We are being overrun just as Europe is being overrun by middle easterners. LA schools are a complete joke. My stepson, who grew up in Mexico and came to LA when he was 9, did not bring home one book from school through his entire four years of high school. He was simply passed through in special curricula because, like more than 50% of rest of students of the LA school districts, he was an "English as a second language" student.
I know more details than most as I am a personal injury attorney and everyone involved in any accident must put forth their personal details in the course of litigation. Even the minor details are hilarious. More than half of my clients have two smart phones, their own personal phones, and their Obama phones, which are passed out freely by government agencies to anyone that claims they don't work. All of the homeless and panhandlers have Obama phones. Talk about the rabbit hole, my clients are always asking me whether they should tell the truth about their lives, or tell what they have been claiming to the government agencies in order to get their lives subsidized, all the while almost all of them have jobs.
LA is overrun by gang bangers, and its definitely not safe to go to certain parts of the city, or for that matter, parts of most major American cities. Gang bangers get jailed, and then released early because the jails in LA are just too full. There is no thought whatsoever to deporting even lifelong gangsters who have committed major felonies even though their only claim to being here is that they entered the country illegally.
Meanwhile my health insurance premiums have tripled over the past three years and are now almost two thousand dollars a month. Whereas over 75% of my clients get free healthcare. (I see their medical bills), because they claim they have no income. The governor of California is raising taxes, including gasoline and vehicle taxes, across the board and says that California taxpayers are "freeloaders".
Rant, Rant, Rant, All Americans are Crazy! Crazy Mad is What it is!
