tbh though I've never seen the attraction of triples. Much easier to play doubles. did play a few games aaaaages ago... lost 18 points to blitz IIRC.
But it is interesting that all the people defending it are high ranked players who play trips.
Well Im relatively high ranked but play a mix of maybe 50% Singles and 25% each doubles and triples. I have played almost all the guys mentioned on this thread and the huge majority are excellent players who would thrive in whatever form of the game they wished to play. If for whatever reason they prefer to concentrate on triples than that is their perogative and the sniping against them is largely based on jealousy from those with far less talent. My regular doubles partner Hatchman has gone from 1200 -1900 points in a month as a result of good team play and improved singles results based on a willingness to learn. His attitude is top rate and he admires the better players and strives to join them - its a great shame others dont do the same rather than whining all the time !
