not a big deal.. I've done 5, and there's rumors of Tdans doing six... and singles deploy speed is about the least important aspect of speed in freestyle games.. who deploys 1 at a time anyhow?

and I do forget about Fitzy all the time.. he's just not around much... but he deserves mention

Poo-maker, scott-land, RashidJelzin, Fabledintergral, and Prankcall rulled the 8 man speed games... I could go on a massive list there.

Casual fs is lame so I won't comment on that... but speed fs players? Malabrosse? Dude, really? Awesome at his two maps, but slow as hell.... Gabby? Really really good, but top 5? 100mates I think I've only played against twice... he seemed pretty good, but not top 5... and of course with your world renowned modesty, yourself... you're solid at 8 man classic fs speeders and I'm sure you're qualified on other maps/settings.... but I was never overly impressed by you... and to leave Krapht out is ludicrous... and he and I don't even get along well...

I am quite aware Mala is slow and only plays 2 maps. He is good at what he does and does not foe anybody. He is not the fastest or the person willing to play ass doodle, or doodle 6 man fs, but he is tops at what he does which is 1 vs 1 fs speed on the maps he likes. Krapt has not played in ages so yes I left him off my list. I do not care for Gambriel13 much but I do respect his level of play. He is quick and generally plays pretty solid. You are also a good player, as are others in this thread.

Also when I mention casual FS, I am not talking about team game farmers. I am talking about those players who mix it up and look to play vs the best.

P.S. My best record in speed fs is by far 1 vs 1 games. I would rather play Gazala or something like that, but I am too lazy sometimes so I stick to simpler maps when that happens.


Last point... As mentioned already in this thread... The level of play is nowhere where it used to be.

I would say 1 of every 20 players from the old days is playing. Maybe 1 in 10 but not many.

As far as Bruce goes, i think there were two ages of good fs play though i cant really comment on those before my time, but there were some pretty competitive and interesting games back when 8 mans were popular 2 years ago. Before that you had the players who were holdovers from before clickies were even around...they probably had better play skill (im thinking about how many times prankcall stole kills from me and i felt violated) but the later generation had more speed. Fun times and great games...though i suck at that style now.

You have the players before i was around but those i remember are Pimphawks, CCat, Clackity, TheBest, Bruceswar, Prankcall, Tdans, Karlpterje, kingofgods, beckytheblondie, manb, krapht etc. All players who could mix it up in different settings and win games. I am sure im forgetting people but any one of these guys in their prime would be a force to be reckoned with in today's freestyle gameplay.

RashidJelzin - Unbeatable for a time in 8 mans's
Skillerman - First to use clickies and do it well
Buizerd - Always a force in any game. Speed or casual
Phlaim - Very Solid player who mix it up
Naato - In the pre clickies era a very good player
Poo-maker - Best all around player ever on CC. He was a freestyle beast.
Scott-land - Made number 1 when he became unbeatable in 8 man fs
Dui - Very solid player with good board vision
Oggis - Hot headed sweed, but a good player
MathManiac17 - Crazy fast. One of the first on clickies and he surely knew how to use them. Better than Skillerman if you ask me.
fantasianasian - In his prime he was surely one of the top players. Never count him out.
DAT_WAT_SHE_SAID - Once Dat got going and figured it out, he was deadly.
bridge2far - Mainly played doodle from his phone, but he was deadly on it. I think he made it as far as 2nd on the scoreboard?
FabledIntegral - On top of his game he was super tough to beat
Prankcall - He was likely the most hot headed of the bunch, which was wild. Prank had no problem putting you in your place when you made a dumb play.



There are likely more I am forgetting and others already mentioned here, but there are some of the older players who seem to be forgotten by many.

Karel is a fkn monster, probably overall the best, but he wasnt in my 5 because I havn't seen him forever

and Pimphawks I've only played twice, but he's a fkn beast as well... and again, hasn't been around in some time..

and I keep forgettin about Lanny as we havn't played much, or lately.. sorry Lan! lol

I don't know.. I think 1 v 1 tell a story.. as long as your sample size is big enough to equalize drops and dice variances... maybe 20 or 30 games will show a pattern...

My reason for refraining from freestyle these days is the simple fact that theres nothing really to gain from them. Got the freestyle platinum requirements ages ago and none of the typical settings contribute to other counts.

Honestly the old days where 5 min was the only speed option were where it was at. Not only did you have to have your game plan but you needed to be alert at all times for others...

its amazing how many people dont understand what this type of information means.

Really all that is saying to you is he is better at speed freestyle than the other settings he plays...ie he loses points in his other games but gains points there. If ones score stays low it is easy to manipulate that number as you win lots of points in the game you are even decent in and lost lots of points in the games you suck at. How do you think people have ridiculously high scores on a map like doodle or lux?

krapht is a great fs player but that number means close to nothing
