Thanks! Are the monkeys in then?

We are discussing as you well know, our discussions tend to be very slow paced...
It would definitely help if you come to a firm timeline for the start of this though. I'm not sure having an open war, ccup4 and this all starting up at the same time would be popular but then again TSM is hungry for games right now so perhaps it's a moot point.
Good luck with the tourney Lindax, whether we join or not it's a unique structure and one I hope gets supported!

I think it's a novel idea to try and effectively create an equal chance for all of the entrance. It creates intrigue and forces the winning clan to play up to their potential at all times. So regardless of whether you have a stacked deck or a rag tag clan, all of the match-ups will be fun to watch.

The start date is still in the planning for the second half of May. There is so much going on in the clan world, if I would postpone the start there will be other events going on at that time as well. I think this will be a nice summer event.
OTHER UPDATES:
Maximum amount of players:
I have decided to cancel the maximum amount. Any clan can register as many players as the like. Players will still have to be on the player list before they can play.
Having to play at least 1 game per round:
I have decided to drop this rule as well.
Both rules were created with medals in mind. I realize that was me being "over-protective", so I'm now leaving it up to the clans and players. Just keep in mind that not every player of the winning clans will automatically get a medal.
Yes, that makes good sense. As in all clan wars it's the responsibility of the organizer within the clan to give the players involved enough games for a medal, if that's a priority. This opens up games for everyone in the clan which will make it more of an all inclusive clan event.
I have a question. In most clan events of late there is a rule against players playing for more than one clan in the same event (if they change clans during the event). Since this isn't mentioned, I assume it isn't an issue for this tournament?
I really hope my clan ends up participating, though we feel a bit stretched right now. I think the start date timing is good, though.

I understand the pros and cons, and don't consider it an issue. Once again I guess it could be an issue for medals though.
For the home games, am I understanding correctly you can pick any mix of team sizes you want each round? Could do 3 1v1s, 3 quads, or a dubs a trips and a quads?

To qualify for medals, you still would need to have the team % met I would assume? Also, depending on quantities of 1 vs 1 involved in wars they might not get included into F400 results.
The game composition must comprise of at least 80% Team Games.

I thought medals wasn't a big issue for clans? But yes, you would still need to meet the clan rules for medals.
And as much as would like to be able to take everything into account, the F400 ranking is like the medals. I'll leave it to the clans to calculate whatever they need for medals and ranking stuff. Since this tournament involves a handicap, I didn't think it would have any bearing on the F400 anyway. But again, that's beyond my concern and reckoning.
If that will result in not enough clans joining, so be it. I just figured I would come up with something different.

One other remark about that: Since we don't know if home and away games will be 1vs 1 or quads, there is no way of telling how many game spots there are. Which means we won't know until the end what amount of game spots players need to fill to qualify for a medal.
IcePack wrote:You might want to post / remind everybody the "requirements" for earning medals (25/25/25/25) etc in case they do care to earn the medals.
So far in this thread it has been made pretty clear that medals are not important....
