...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
It concurs with my thinking, for the most part. Saying that aloowing legal gay marriage will harm the church does not say much for the church.
Saying it will destroy our families does not say much about family teachings.
The biggest threat to today's family is not homosexuality, it is parents who have to work 70-80 hours and more, PLUS a commute, to support thier families, and then often without healthcare for the adults.
Right around 24 minutes in he explained that thing I was talking about regarding the laws in Leviticus and other parts of the torah being directed specifically to the Hebrews by God through Moses fairly well.
I don't think there is a problem with the laws. The problem is as a human they are impossibly difficult to follow. If they were not, there would not have been separate groups such as the Pharasees and Saducees later. Everyone involved would just agree.
Instead, not only were the laws being broken, there was much debate on how they even worked, an entire industry existed around interpretation of the laws.
Here's a very interesting take on the subject. Watch the entire video:
