Sorry, unaware of the lingo...

Some players feel it is appropriate to wait for a certain amount of time before taking their first turn if they join 2nd in a foggy 1v1 game, to let their opponent have an equal look at the map before the game begins. Others, however, prefer to try to join 2nd in order to take advantage of seeing the map before their opponent.
