Ok to answer your question...it was about the same amount of time. NORMALLY, Doodle Earth goes quicker. And I still don't know what rt means...

real time

Tassidar, did you skip over this question?

I think you should post the names of the co-worker accounts that got banned. Also, you indicated you work with someone who is a moderator....who?

I never indicated I worked with a mod. I chose to ignore it because I am not responding to someone who doesn't know me using my name.

To answer the question (so I don't get attacked...). I work at a large company with many computers, many of which are shared among employees on any given day of the week.

First of his comments to this thread:

Tassidar wrote:As for seeing if im a multi, I told the Moderator I play at work with many co-workers (who have recently been banned...). I think routine IP scans are a poor way to determine if someone is a multi. Funny how Conquerclub.com Mods jump to the aid of paying members even if they lose horrendously.

If they were banned, what's the harm? Account names of co-workers would probably help your case.

The site rules say to use common sense...I am by reading rules/strats and playing on a smaller map of the classic RISK board...I would rather play 20+ doodle earth maps in one day than 4 classic maps in a week...

Interesting that you use those terms..."classic RISK board" and "classic maps".

I believe you may have mis-read this. Place the word "that" after "Moderator" and the word "do" after "I" and that might help. I can see how you read it the way you did, but if you look at it carefully, he's not saying he works with the moderator.

I just think it's interesting, that's all. I find many things interesting. I also think it's interesting that trapyoung knows your name and that you appear very defensive about that, as well as your unwillingness to answer his question based on the very weak excuse of "I refuse to answer a question from someone who uses my real name"...whatever rationale that is.

honestly he does not look like a multi it took him 20 minutes to do anything

my reasoning behind him playing doodle is because he looked at browser maps looked at them then saw doodle small and looks really easy it looks exactly like the board game accept smaller

Don't know you? I know you work at a large company where people share computers lv edit. I also know you love small maps, you were in the military and are great at strategy games. By the way, I felt most post was in no way shape or form accusatory and thought you'd appreciate someone not pre-judging you. But oh well.

lol he joined two games in his first 3 minutes on the site and played them perfectly, it does not take him 20 minutes to do anything.

Aright ur story has more holes n it then swiss cheese at the moment, thats why everyone is "attacking" you.

At first you act like you dont know what "mods" are then 17 minutes later you address them as "add ons".. Could you have went and read about them and educated yourself in that time, sure but i have my doubts.
You also seem to be educated enough on the forums but somehow lacked the knowledge of what "greasemonkey" is, even though its in that strategy thread you linked earlier. hmmm

Your a former enlisted marine with a bachelors degree, or so you claim, that works in a cubicle and as per the game you referenced has a dad that you want to play on the site with.
2010-07-23 10:26:10 - Tassidar: so conquerclub is telling me that if my dad and I want to play together, we will get banned based on simple IP scans?

  • 1st question is who told you this, cause its no where on your account. And whats your dad's account that your referring to?
  • 2nd question, you couldn't have been enlisted in the marines with a bachelors degree, so if all that your saying is true then retiring 20 yrs and say at least 2 to complete a degree.. that would put your dad over the usual target age of our members, once again it seems you have left a hard pill to swallow.
  • 3rd question, what kind of job do you have that after 20 yrs of service and a degree you work in a cubicle?
  • 4th and last point on this subject above, a marine is always a marine, you shoulda known that.

I thought it was pretty obvious that he was mentioning his dad as a hypothetical scenario.

Though, why a marine working in an office with a degree would have to worry about being on the same IP as his dad... that's another story.

He could easily have gotten his degree during his time in the military. I got three of them during my 23 years in the military.

king sam wrote:3rd question, what kind of job do you have that after 20 yrs of service and a degree you work in a cubicle?

Any number of things. Remember, not everyone stays in their same career field as they were in the military. I'm not.

I'm not saying u cant get a degree while in the military, I'm saying you dont stay and retire as enlisted if you get a degree.

Nor am I suggesting he stayed in the same field for his after employment, but I cant think of a place where you would work in a cubicle with a degree, can you?

The whole thing about the retirement and degree was to suggest the ago of his father, and I dont see that context as a hypothetical.

No. It wasnt. The quote you quoted was him questioning the use of "IP Scans" as the sole way to catch multis. So he made a hypothetical question about what if someone in his household wanted to play... The bigger question here is why would someone as "decorated" and "successful" as he says, still be living at his parent's home? Clearly he's no where near as old as he is trying to make it out to sound.

king sam wrote:Nor am I suggesting he stayed in the same field for his after employment, but I cant think of a place where you would work in a cubicle with a degree, can you?

Uhm. Yes? My office? Almost everyone has MBA's and we work in cubicles...?

edit now that I think about it: My mom's office. My dad's office. My brother's office. My fiancee's office. All professionals with business degrees. Should I go on?

I think the holes you discovered aren't really holes...read on...
king sam wrote:1st question is who told you this, cause its no where on your account. And whats your dad's account that your referring to?

Not a hole, but a good question.
king sam wrote:2nd question, you couldn't have been enlisted in the marines with a bachelors degree, so if all that your saying is true then retiring 20 yrs and say at least 2 to complete a degree.. that would put your dad over the usual target age of our members, once again it seems you have left a hard pill to swallow.

My husband earned his degree while enlisted, so this isn't a hole.
king sam wrote:3rd question, what kind of job do you have that after 20 yrs of service and a degree you work in a cubicle?

I have a PhD, and though I rarely go into the office, the office space reserved for me is a cubicle. My husband, who should really log in and post this himself, just visited his PhD professors at his University who are all located in cubicles and most of whom have 20+ years in their professorships.
king sam wrote:4th and last point on this subject above, a marine is always a marine, you shoulda known that.

Could be a hole, could also be a disgruntled dishonorable discharge. If I were booted from the service, I probably would refer to myself as former and (in cases like this) I would mention my service if I felt that it contributed to my understanding of strategy.

I would like to hear from Tassidar about those usernames of players in his office. I think it would help his case and I would like to see him vindicated if he truly isn't a multi.
