Unfortunately, a later post pretty much toppled the reasoning behind my suspicion. However there is no harm in throwing out ideas. After all, the road to truth is filled with potholes. So, here goes:

I was suspicious of Colton after this post:

Normally, when someone slings a vote&jab towards you like Safari had thrown towards Colton, the natural response is to sling one reight back at them. Since it's the first vote of Day 1, you are allowed to have a bit of fun without instantly being accused of revenge voting. Thus, Colton's vote against me, as opposed to him voting Safari and calling him a mynock or something, looked a bit unatural to me, like he is making a conscious effort not to do anything remotely scummy.

However, it was Safari himself, who offered an explanation for Colton not wanting to vote him back:

I presume that you two had played a few recent games with Colton. Given your experience playing with him, in your opinion, does Safari's post quoted above make sense to you guys?

Yeah, he over-reacts, but not that much, and I don't know if he does it when he is scum or not.

Thanks, I just wanted to know if Safari's explanation for voting Colton is matches the facts.

I think it is suspicious that the post after his accusation is your response. Perhaps you are frequently checking in because you need to quickly handle any accusation, as you are scum.

I don't recall ever playing colton before, but I can tell you he has a general overreaction problem, so I'm sure that shows itself in mafia as well.

So, you think it is a good thing, but you are suspicious of him because of it.

If we add the fact that you were, by your own admission, trying to bait him into overreacting with your first vote, it looks to me like you working real hard to provide the Town with a reason to lynch Colton, not because you think that he is scum, but because you you consider him to be lynchable.

Here's the deal. I know colton to be generally very defensive. Once you pressure him, he starts throwing out the OMGUS and scum bandwagon defenses. Now, if he were to do that this game, I would conclude that I cannot get a read on what he may be because he does that in all the games (wercool really helps in provoking an action). Since he didn't, I was a bit suspicious. Since we all know how active a poster he is, the continued lack of posting and vote changing by him also signals a departure from his normal M.O. Now, this to me means he's being very careful with what he says as he didn't want to draw attention to himself as a bandwagoner or accidentally dropping a scumtell. Or, he could be getting better at mafia and all this is moot. The was I see it, colton is acting differently this game, and I'm noting that as something to follow up on in subsequent days.

Where are PCM and Cowboyz?

Serbs is looking questionable to me...
