Aflred's drink that he owes to Betty, in turn Betty owes it to Charlie, who owes it to Diane, who owes it to Alfred, so he won't buy this one.

Bertie - Dennis ate the cookies.
Clara - I did not eat the cookies.
Dennis - Bertie is lying when she says I ate the cookies.



If the first one is true => Bertie ate them, Dennis didn't, Clara did => error
If the second one is true => Dennis ate them, Bertie didn't, Clara did => error
If the third one is true => Clara ate them, Bertie didn't, Dennis didn't, Bertie is lying => Dennis ate them => error

=> Dennis tells the truth => Dennis didn't , Bertie didn't, Clara did

The answer is: Clara
