Scores have been updated for all groups as of Nov. 28th @ 1230 hrs. and if you find that the total game count might be higher than what is on the pages please remember that the bonus games wins have been included also.

Please contact me because your points do not match the scoring on the score sheets. And with eight games not finished plus bonus games I doubt any one has clinched anything yet.

One error is your scoring in the Banana group is that Lisbon101 doesn't have any bonus points yet... yet you have him with 11. Chadwick has 11 but you only have him with 6. That needs to be fixed.

Your totals are also off for the Banana group. You might want to check your spreadsheet totals. Personally I have around 508 as I calculated it by hand.

I want to apologize for how long this round has taken...School work and family really caught up to me over the last 6 weeks but finals are next week and everyhtig seems to be calming down on the home front so I anticipate the rest of this round and the next to run smoothly....

Target Date to start signups for Map Blaster V is as soon as all games have been activated for the final Group in the final round.

I think I will cap the players to 48 this time around as 96 was really challenging

Sorry to not only Banana Group,but all Groups, you all of course were correct as it was not so much the entering of the scores that was wrong, as it was the problem of the first column missing out of the total formula. Thanks for the help. :oops:

If this original rule:

Round 3
This round will have 24 players split into 3 groups
Top two players move on. There are two wildcard spots that will go to the two highest scores not already in the final game


Is officially changed to:

To move to the Final round you must be 1 of the top two players in your group. Two wild cards will also advance. Wild cards will be determine by Total MBIV wins from rounds 1-3.


Could we change the Rule additions and changes:

Rule Additions and Changes
Look here for any changes that may occur during the tournament
1. I have added an extra round to the Tourney so a total of four rounds will be played
2. Changed Bonus rounds to 2nd and 3rd rounds
3. New Maps have been added. Games 84-86 look for a PM with the new games
4. New Maps have been added for a total of 97 eight player maps
5. ]Two more maps have been added to the play list
The Citadel
Archipelago


to reflect the change?

Also, I protest this change -- total wins in the tourney were never mentioned as a deciding factor, and that changes strategy pretty drastically. I understand where you're going -- the tourney scoring rewards a 'safe' strategy, rather than a 'win' strategy. You could have taken my suggestion in Round 1 to change the scoring (1 for 8th, 4 for 7th, 6 for 6th, 8 for 5th, 10 for 4th, 12 for 3rd, 15 for 2nd, 20 for 1st -- like 'spoils' distribution) to fix this structural deficiency, but to make a rule change in the 3rd round is pretty arbitrary, IMHO.

In any case, the tourney has been great, but grueling, and I look forward to MBV -- although please consider my scoring recommendation to improve the competition.

Great thanks for the feed back...I will change the scoring for MBV to discourage not playing as for MBIV is for it appears that the scoring will remain the same
