To sum things up:
It's a European man who lived and died during the dark ages and after the year 750.
He was not an artist, musician, scientist, military figure or a religious figure.
He was famous for his proffesion. So much infact that he's known for one event.
He lived on a island nation, and not a mediteranean one.
He wasn't murdered.

So we're looking for....
A man who lived at this time: 750-1000
In this place: A European Island nation (not in the Mediterranean)
And was known for his profession and largely due to one event.

He had an obscure profession and the extent of his monetary possessions is indeterminate.

He was not a Religious, Political or Military figure.
Neither was he a scientist, artist or musician.

He was not Murdered.

Those are the facts, folks

And just as I finish Gilippig posts :o

To sum things up:
It's a European man who lived and died during the dark ages and after the year 750.
He was not an artist, musician, scientist, military figure or a religious figure.
He was famous for his proffesion. So much infact that he's known for one event.
He lived on a island nation, and not a mediteranean one.
He wasn't murdered.

Think of the important things that happened during this time and if the person responsible for them could fit in on the description.
One final hint: Upon looking more closely I see that he did do some deeds for his religion. But was not at all known for that. He was christian.
I will throw another hint your way. He was born between 750 A.D and 1000 A.D

Actually I have some ideas. It just requires clarification.

etc.

So he lived and died between 750 and 1000 C.E?
(Not a question, just clarification)

You got it on the last question! He's also known as Leifr EirĂksson or Leif Eriksson depending on how you translate it.
He was known for being the first European to set foot in North America. 500 years before Christopher Columbus.
As I heard in live chat [player]x-raider[/player] wants to give the right to pick a person to [player]Campin_Killer[/player], so Campin_Killer, you're next :)!
