You might not have the latest version (4.5.3 had your problem). Upgrade to 4.6.1 by clicking on Latest Version Installed.

There might be a bug in the elimination summary.

Game 2796586

I finished the game on round 8, but it says the other players lost their points in round 7. I believe this happened when I clicked on the full log button.

Game log:
2008-07-22 20:40:26 - Incrementing game to round 8
2008-07-23 00:18:41 - Night Strike eliminated geigerm from the game
2008-07-23 00:18:41 - Night Strike won the game

Elimination Summary:
2008-07-23 00:18:41 - geigerm loses 25 points in round - 7
2008-07-23 00:18:41 - Night Strike gains 185 points in round - 7

Interesting one - but gonna be hard to reproduce!!!

It works if you reload OK - so it's fairly low priority!!!

Yeah, it's complete with just the 50 line log. When I click the full log, the lines that say "Night Strike eliminated player x in round 8" also disappears.

Yeah - I've had this one mentioned before... I'm not sure if it's my fault or Lacks fault!!

I'll take a look sometime (but not til late August!)

I went into a game with BOB on, and it didn't work. The monkey is off of the screen, as I have 75 games (ConquerTell) and some paused downloads.

I went to 'Tools', 'Greasemonkey', and it has a checkmark next to 'Enabled', but I wasn't getting anything from it.

Not sure if this is BOB or Firefox.

EDIT: I just changed to someone that has less games so I can see the Monkey, and he's smiling.

Have you any errors in your error console?

Tools -> Error Console -> "Errors" Tab.

BOB doesn't use that method - I think this is a bug in another script.

Try doing a CTRL F5 On that game - and see if that works - if not - try reinstalling BOB & or Greasemonkey.

Map Rank is the only other script I've got.

Hmmm - sounds like you might have 2 BOBs installed?

Can you

a) right click your monkey
b) manage User Scripts
c) uninstall any instances of BOB
d) reinstall BOB
e) test.

Cheers,

C.

I think this is more likely a clickable map issue .. (which i do not use so i can just turn it off) but thought i would post here too in case.

jiminski wrote:Sorry if this has been brought up... but it has happened to me 3 or 4 times now:

I have selected Indonesia for a chained fort (at least twice) and it has jumped to Eastern Aust. (Classic)

I put this down to my own error.

But moments ago i watched (Portuguese Map) Algarve Este jump to Portimao on its own.. i redid it to be sure and sure enough it flicked to a territory i had not selected.

I turned BOB off and the problem did not recur.

Sorry I did not check to see if it did this without Clickable script so can not be certain if this is a fundamental bob error but i reckon it is a clickable one.

player = demonfork
saw him play in a few games every game he is in BOB just reads NaN for him and will not give same info as does for other players in same game.
example 2966910
3045769
2986795
2924705
im sure there are more examples but i noticed all freestyle games he plays in it does this. is it a glitch or a cheat or is it considered fair play i which case shouldnt the plug in for that be available to all and made public? and by no means am i accuseing anyone of being a cheat just wanted to bring this to your attention.

additional info from my last post it has nothing to do with his freestyle games it is happening in all fog of war games he joins.

It happens in Fog of War games when you can't see any of the opponent's territories. Any time you have a BOB issue, it goes in the BOB Bugs thread. I'll move you to the Plugins forum for it to be merged a little later.

has nothing to do with a bug is one player out of thousands that has found a way to make BOB useless against them in a fog game.
look at every fog game this guy has played, in a 4 player game bob reads all players stats except his and thats in every game he plays with fog. i have played well over 1000 games with the fog setting and several hundred different players he is the only one that i have saw BOB do that with.

I merged a thread that had started out in C&A into this thread. Apparently when [player]demonfork[/player] is in a fog game BOB does not read his stats. yeti, any comments?

This is caused by the player's name. demonfork, contains the word for which Yeti uses to find the armies for....I changed my Bob at line 3271

Code: Select all

NEW         var terrCount = log[i].substring(log[i].indexOf("armies for ")+11,log[i].indexOf("territories")-1);
OLD         var terrCount = log[i].substring(log[i].indexOf("for")+4,log[i].indexOf("territories")-1);

That will fix the NaN appearing because Bob reads the next characters for numbers and instead finds letters...NaN is Not A Number error response.
