I like Homer's story and claim.

Only 2 problems:

1) the emotion does not match the claim and 2) it took way too long, like you needed time to cook something up..

I've been looking up roles and trying to figure out how you were might have gotten a no result on homer if he is actually the 3p. The gumshoe role seems a weak claim and jailkeeper does make more sense in this set-up. however vigilante is usually a town role according to mafiawiki so not sure why max suggested it unless I misread something and most of the roles for 3p don't provide a kill and a block for no result, SK for example would yield a fake town result. Just thinking this through a bit before I vote

Yesterday nobody followed me when i voted Homer but on Traf King followed me superfast...

Your foolproof plan works the other way around too. If Homer flips town you jail Dev.

But Homer is not town. So no way he is gonna flip town. Also: he should hide his online status in the next mafia game.

A 13-player Mafia game typically involves 3 Mafia members and we have caught 3 scum :

Charle - MAFIA COP killed D2 so he had a N1 result (Homer?)
*pixar* - MAFIA FRAMER who should have framed EW the night i investigated EW but didn't, Kingm visited me instead
Kingm - MAFIA ESCORT hooked me all and every night long...

...untill he got killed by the 3P last night. But that also means there should be a 4the scum (Dev)? Because Kingm could not have blocked me if he was doing the factional kill. Naah, 4 scum AND a 3P in a 13 player game? No way

Loose forgot to mention that limitation to my role in its description. He allowed meto jail Sonic two nights in a row when I protested but after that I couldn't do it anymore.

Sonic really needed a break from his wife and newborn quadruplets
2 girls Sonia and Sonique 2 boys Sonny and Son - 3 days old.
Where better to relax after the labour his wife hadn't stopped complaining about than this new boutique luxury resort Loose Vegas - play some cards, visit some shows, drink some tekiller, just the spot to get away from work and the wife.
It even claimed there would be no problem with meeting special dietary requirements and Sonics were special - beetles, earwigs, caterpillars, earthworms, fly larvae.
If it all turned out as he hoped Sonic even thought it might be a good spot for a lads weekend with his mate knuckles.
But what a dive it turned out to be.
And as for meeting his special dietary requirements - well 2 millepedes on a leaf of lettuce from the a la carte menu just didn't do it.
He'd even been called in to work that first night when hero as he was he 'd undercovered a mafia roleblocker.

Vegas had to be better than this, and so he ventured out of the resort on the second night.
A rather attractive looking babe who he thought he might have seen around the pool earlier approached him and asked him if he fancied some action.
"Actually I'm just looking to get some decent grubs"
"Why not come with me, I'm heading to Mumbos"
Mumbos was a dimly lit joint that played jazz music and after a few drinks and some slow dances with the babe they headed outside into the bushes.
Sonic didn't remember much more about the night except he had a great time.
When the guests asked him what he had done the next day he had nothing to say for himself.

Throughout Day3 Sonic, thought turned more and more back to the girl he had met, and he wondered how he could find out more about her - he didn't even know her name.

On the fourth night he wandered out of the resort and made his way back to Mumbos, jazz was playing and the air was sultry but it wasn't till he felt a light blow of smoke on the back of his neck that he turned round and to his delight there she was.
What a night he spent with kingm, or most of the night because when he awoke just before dawn she was gone.

Gone for good as it turned out.

Next day he was in a prickly mood.
Hungry and thirsty and no more nights with the babe.

A deliveroo arrived at the resort from him.
He didn't remember ordering it - but he couldn't remember much except kingm.
Gumbo from Mumbos and a bottle of TeSKiller to wash it down with.

HomerJ looked at Sonic curiously - he himself was clever and streetwise. Sonic was clever but was he streetwise? - not all hedgehogs are, many end up as roadkill.
Would this particular hedgehog swallow his MumboGumbo.

Would HomerJ - the Dexter like Cop by Day and Serial Killer by Night, successfully spin his gumshoe story that Max and not him was the real serial killer?
It looked like he might - the host thought it was a brilliant claim, and the spirit of Extreme had suspected Max.
And Homer had done more good than bad, he had single handedly killed 2 mafiosi, and so didn't really feel guilty at all.

Alas late in the day the Townies didn't see it like that.
Mustering the necessary votes they lynched Homer.

I was never endgaming and tbh, I was kind of done with the game by then so figured any paranoia about me even if I survive is probably worse than just dying.

thanks. i was targeting mafia expecting them to whittle down the town. i was foiled by max protecting the right people every night apparently. mafia only managed one kill all game

Yeah I slept on it, and then I understood.
So we the mafia went after players we thought would be town powerroles, and that bakfired a lot since there was 2 protective roles, Ragian and Max

Anyhow GG, sorry for being AFK, and thanks for the active guys and Loose for the host

I felt varying degrees of uneasiness about hosting particularly at the start - but then I reckon every host does
I've enjoyed flavour in previous games so I wanted to give myself plenty of flavour options

I tried from the set up to weave some potential but not overpowering gameplay significance into the flavour
- 4 votes from players at the poker table would have been enough for a lynch on a player
- contents of goodies bag
As it turned out there was no gameplay impact - but there potentially could have been
- not sure whether I would try to do similar or not in future games - I don't think it worked too well

Made a hosting mistake in not insisting on knowing which mafiosi carried out their kill N2 - because it looked irrelevant - but only realised after I'd posted the Night 2 scene that by not insisting this in itself had potentially given mafia added information.

Main thing is I wanted it to be fun and most of all didn't want to turn players off of playing mafia - thats what I was uneasy about most of all.
