congrats on the stamp.

i hope this doesn't mean i'm too late with my graphic feedback. i like what you've done since i last posted here. everything has improved but one little problem remains. the barbed wire looks weird. it's blurry and it somehow feels out of place. plus it has lots of white and barbed wires aren't white.

so i took the liberty of coming up with a few alternatives.
feel free to use them however you want.

if it helps even more i can always give you the psd. just ask for it.

Thanks DiM, got the PSD file and used the setting you had and applied a couple of them to what I had after I fiddled around with what you sent me. Hopefully these are good as they don't look blurry to me. Hopefully they are a bit crisper.

It looks a bit odd that the top and bottom strands of barbed wire are identical.

A more fitting title might be fractured East Asia since there are so many more countries involved than just China! India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Taiwan, South Korea, North Korea, Russia, Hong Kong, Burma, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, Macau. There are 15 countries not named China involved in this map so fractured China makes no sense! I like the map! Nice colors and intriguing borders! I like the Fractured America map as well and it had a much better name! Fractured America describes the countries being fractured.

You also need to re think your statement that China will be just the 3:rd largest economy by the year 2045! I think there's little doubt that they will be the largest economy in the world by far in the year 2045!

Well if you look at the map, the countries involved either invaded China, or separated from China. Hong Kong and Macau are part of China but are Free reign cities, Taiwan is (depending on who you listen to) is part of China, though they claim independence from them. Burma is Myanmar now. As for the 3rd largest economy, well this a look into the future so who know where they will be. ;) Fractured China name stays as is.

If China is being attacked by 15 countries including Russia and India I think Destroyed China would be an even more fitting title :P ! But it's your map so you chose the title of it :) !

Then why settle with China being the third largest economy? Wouldn't it be more appealing to call it the largest economy in the world? Especially since it's not even a stretch!

XML Check result

Post by OliverFA »

Hello,

Hi have checked the XML file, and I found several mistakes:

  • "Nam Viet" is called "Nam Vet" in the XML.
  • Primorskiy missing in Russian Federation.
  • Nam Viet bonus is 5 in the map and 4 in the XML.

I have not checked the coordinates part, as there are errors in the file.

We can proceed in two ways. Either you fix the file and let me know so I can recheck, or you tell me which are the right values in those three cases and I fix them myself.

Cheers!
Welcoming the long awaited Trench Warfare Setting (Previously Adjacent Attacks).

My Maps:
Research and Conquer - Civilization meets Conquer Club

Best score: 2,346 - Best position: #618 - Best percentile: 4.87%

As for Nam Viet, this is the correct spelling and it is a 5 bonus as on the map. Gilligan can tell you about the file.

[Adding XML stamp]

Finally! After checking the XML file, I am glad to confirm that this time everything in the code seems to be right.
