Fixed the double be in the letter.

I had trouble getting the trees in the letter as well because of their length and variance with design. I think I will keep them out.

Ah right... I changed the of and then I forgot to save the jpg, instead only saving the psd.

This should be about right.

Hey IH.

That empty corner on the bonus map seems to bother some of us.

Could you maybe plop a few musket balls on top of it and a few loose grains of powder? Something?

How about a soaring eagle, talons clenched with the saying "Live Free or Die"? :P

Unless you're talking about another corner.

In the legend, it says "Conn. - Conneticut" but shouldnt that be Connecticut?

Wow... how long has that gone unnoticed.

This should be better:

Nice. Almost looks like a tattoo but nice.

Whats with that color variations on the flag? Brighter flag coloring would look really good too.

Eh, I can mess with it to see if I get anything better. But I think its best to keep it rather subdued like the rest of the map.

Fortnightly review of 13 Colonies:

  • The position of several territory names and army coordinates should be changed, specifically in Fort Pitt, Delmarva, and St. Mary's. They should be reversed to prevent overlapping and cluttering of the map.
  • A couple of your 888's are touching/covering significant part of territory names/features. Most are with PA/MD/NJ/NYC/VA area, and on the small map.
  • This isn't as big an issue, more of an XML issue, but just to make sure, the ships and tribes 888's are centered. Graphically, the circles are to accommodate 88's and overrun numbers greater than 100.(888)
  • Probably the biggest issue(and it isn't that big) is this: The title and flag in the top corner needs some work to better fit into the graphical theme being worn/old/tattered. The flag itself is just to crisp an image to be part of the map.
  • Couple of issues with the letter/legend: You've got the flags of nations in the legend, but not a graphical representation of the Indian tribes.(The trees) For consistency a tree should be added by the part of the letter explaining the Indian tribes effects. Also the + signs look computer typed than a part of the text font its a part of. While this likely isn't your fault, it's pretty much redundant, the +'s can be removed without effecting how the rules are read.
  • Sea links, the white dots should not be on top of the land.
  • Remove the black line for Massachusetts in the legend, the little line that you have on current Massachusetts , the name itself is sufficient. Moving New Hampshire up and to the left on the smaller map(at least) is also advisable, since its touching the line from Massachusetts to the "Maine" part of the colony.

Nothing uber-major, looking good!

Do I seriously have to wait two weeks for this version to be approved or do things get approved in between Fortnightly Reviews?

On the large map you still have one sea dot from Boston to Cape Cod on Cape Cod. Small looks good,, flag looks much better and the eagle on the mini-map is an A++ in my book!

Whoops. I deleted it on my version, you'll see the fix next update.

Wow, that flag is amazing.
You're still aligning the troop containers of the galeons to 888's, but I believe that the stardard way is with 88's.

Yeah, these numbers are just jpegs and not actual tests, when its XML time I will straighten them out.

That flag is more fitting. Nice. How about maybe a little battle torn/tattered. Might look pretty cool.

I might experiment with it to see if I can make it battle worn though really, I have no idea what I'm doing. I lifted it off of some 18th c. painting, so I think it might be stuck the way it is. We'll see.

Looking very very good ;-)

The flag finally feels like it belongs on the map.

The "Live Free or Die" monogram feels a bit Hells Angel-esque - I have no idea whether or not it's from the right period - I'm assuming it was relevant during the Revolutionary War?

Connecticut is the only abbreviation on the map? Is there any chance you could shift the names on the minimap to get the full word in there? If you can do that, then you could probably drop the "Conn - Connecticut" line at the bottom, and make do with some sort of XML naming like it instead.

Yeah, I agree about the Live Free or Die thing. Redbaron suggested it and I'm willing to whore out the map to just get the thing passed, lol. I'll see if I can find anything different to go there (I wish I could remove that tea stamp from its paper).

As for Connecticut... the reason it's abbreviated is because that area is very congested on the actual map. I just continued it on the mini-map for consistency.

Please do not remove the live free… thing. Looks epic and is most indubitably from that time period.

No problem. I really don't care either way. Do you really think its from that time period? I presumed that since the Eagle wasn't the nation's bird until after the war that it might be an after thought. At best, from the same general time period.

To be honest, I'm inclined to make it say a better known Rev. War catchphrase: Liberty or Death
