Portugal played a horrid tactic in the last 30 (I only got up for that, im not a morning person).
Every time they had good possession deep in spains half they played for the foul. Clearly they didnt back themselves against spains D? Iunno but it was a shit game to watch, way too much diving.
I go to the gym to justify my mockery of fat people.

he sucks at penalties , he always missed when he took them for united
if always means 3 times then you're spot on.
ronaldo was in february at 34 goals (11 man u + 23 real) from 38 penalty kicks. that's 89%.

yet another rehash of the BBC commentary, should we just get a log of what they said to post in here or can you have a original thought?
ofc he wanted to take the fifth as it is a important one if his team was gonna go out if they didnt score the 5th peno then he made the right decision as it turns out i wasnt a good decision.

oh, come on. i think most great players happen to miss some important penalties during their career. sure it sucks when this happens but saying he sucks for 1 missed penalty is like saying dice are bad because you rolled a 1 after rolling dozens of 6s.
fact is ronaldo is one great penalty kick taker. his stats are really good.

If you want some stats, in the England Italy game, the two English players with the highest ratio of passes completed between them, it was Hart to Carroll, and to make it even worse, Carroll was brought on as a sub and only played 30 mins!

I apologise. I didnt realise you knew what I was thinking. I shall endeavour to remember that unless I disagree with what is said on the telly, it is not a valid thought.
With that said, you are, of course talking, complete bollox. He is guaranteed to take a kick if he takes any of the first three. He might get a chance if he takes either of the last two. Leaving one of your best spot kickers to chance is just stupid.
Some else can look this up......How many penalty shootout outs have gone to the fifth penalty(for the team going second especially)?

Two words: Sieg Hei.... okay I won't go that far , but I'm rooting for Germany in this game. I don't want Spain to win when they play such dull football. And Germany can beat them!
AoG for President of the World!!
I promise he will put George W. Bush to shame!

He should have taken the first, and if he scored it, Portugal would have led after Alonso's miss.. that could have been a great advantage and might have ruined a lot of Spain's morale.

4 centerback took spot kicks. I find that fucking nuts. We wouldn't have to worry about Ronaldo taking the kick if Alves wasn't one of the kick takers. Simple as that. You want you best, high profile playing taking the last one. Why do you think Fabregas went last.
I don't really have a horse in this game, but I'll cheer for Italy, since I recently re-watched Bicycle Thieves and Umberto D., two great classic Italian films.
Say what you want, but Italy in the semifinals must be a staple in every tournament. It's not the same if German or Italy are not in the last part of the cups.
ok, I'm going to come out and say it: soccer has way too many championships. It's like fucking college football, where every team pretty much plays for some worthless bowl.
Other than international/interleague friendlies, the only "championships" should be league championships, a world club championship (instead of the UEFA Championship) and the World Cup.
It's ridiculous how there are so many other cups and is why I have little interest in anything other than the World Cup.
But it's annoying how it's like some fucking little league baseball team, where everyone gets a trophy including the fat smelly kid who only occasionally gets to play right field.
