It is indeed! I really enjoyed it (and Habana in general). Loved the people and the mix of old and new in everything from the buildings to the art.

Seen the former Soviet Embassy you recommended as well. It was just across from our hotel. Bloody huge! Didn't think it would go down too well taking photos around it though....

A mite to many policemen about...though that's probably a good thing when you're a tourist wandering about at night after a few too many Mojitos!

Didn't like Varadero as much really, though the beach was suberb.

Think capture the flag, with an 8 yard circle around the flag. Any water balloons that hit in the circle are worth 100 points, with a flag worth 1000. If you get hit with a bat (it's flimsy pvc) on the leg in enemy territory, you go to jail. I had already tossed in my balloon, and was going for the flag and trying to avoid being tagged. (You can see the circle behind the defender)

There are also water balloon slingshots for artillery on each side, and 1 guy (the Gladiator) in the circle defending against water balloons. He's the only defender allowed inside the circle.
