Stubbs, thought you'd be the only one I didn't have to explain my activity issue to, with you being on my other forum and all! Anyway, work has been crazy, but the posts that tipped me off about new guy are arranged here for your convenience:

If I dont give anyone else to look at/my thoughts on things, then its I havent said enough and thats scummy. If I give my take on it, thats scummy. Is there any way to get around looking scummy when all you're trying to do is literally give your input?

I worry about looking scummy because looking scummy in general gets you lynched, whether you're town or scum.

These two posts were part of an exchange I had with him, where he justifies worrying about other people's views of him (normally not a townie trait) by shrugging it off while worrying about not surviving (is he new? I've seen newbies worrying about this but it's definitely a tell with relatively experienced players). Anyway, this was the worst post which I only noticed on a read-through:

Anybody who targets new guy1, will be shot.

To add on to Jonty's explanation, if you were to say, investigate me, you would be killed. Same with if you were to doc me, shoot me, etc.

The way he clarified, in no uncertain terms, 'if you investigate me, you will die' suggests he's not taking any chances with someone targeting him.

new guy was third on the Kirk bandwagon, and certainly got it rolling as the lynch came soon after. Bandwagon positions, while by no means science, are a semi-reliable indicator in my experience.

He also suggested that spiesr (a claimed cop) should visit him during the night, which is certainly not something I could see a town PGO suggesting.

So yeah, I'm happy with my vote. I'll analyse skillful when I get back from work, no time now.

I consider myself to be kind of a long time player on these forums (maybe like, a year or a year and a half of play) but in no way am I going to say I am a veteran. I dont consider myself a spectacular player by any means and so I may make mistakes.

There is a vote count on the bottom of P23. FOS ghostly for skimming, and cue WIFOM this looks like a scumbuddy desperately protecting another.

Ghostly has been defending newguy to a seemingly irrational level this game. Ghostly and newguy know each other in real life, so I am not yet certain if that is all that is going on there or if there is some in game reason.

Which doesn't really tell us much about the claim as both a Town PGO and someone fake-claiming one have ample reason not to want any cops to visit them. The way he kind of changes his mind later is interesting though.

I dont know why ghost is getting involved in this crap case, but to each his own. When I posted the stuff emphasizing my claim, I did not know that posting beneficial actions which would get the death penalty for visiting me was so much worse and so telling about my role. How about this, if you are mafia, and you busdrive, rolecop, shoot at, roleblock, or even stop in for a peek while Im taking a shower in the middle of the night, you will be killed. Better? No? Oh, well I tried.

To me, the whole "way he clarified" case is just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. If my role wasnt PGO, I would be getting a lyncher vibe, but as it is, I can see why there is doubt, but not a reason to meaninglessly pursue a case on me. Nothing, absolutely nothing has changed besides me posting some more between day one and day four.

The reason why it is all self defense is because I have been defending the whole game, and you dont take my defense. Therefore, in order to defend myself, I must defend more, since you arent content.

Which brings up a good question. What can I do to appease you lynx? What will it take? Because right now, Im giving (IMO) good answers, and you seem to blow them off. You have not gained much ground on the case, and its not like I can role claim because I have.

Vote Lynx. I am not defending New guy1, I posted a reason to vote lynx and a warning as to the possibility of me putting my vote on him. I have formed the habit of waiting for a vote count so that I do not speed lynch someone, because that is risky, as it causes more of an uproar than any one person wants on them, especially if their town and the town is now trying to hang you for an accident. I will continue waiting for a vote count if I cannot remember the most recent one. I will be back soon to post my support for my reasoning.

Jonty, if we don't get a result it ends up with NL anyway. Voting NL is useless when looking through voting records later. At least vote for whoever you feel is scummiest.

Anyway, ghostly is going over the top in defending new guy. That doesn't say much about new guy's alignment (although judging by his analysis-free posts, I still think he's likely to be mafia) but the chainsaw defense is a scum-tell for a reason.

Skillful, there is a vote count, literally 7 posts before yours. Now, (and dont say I am defending ghost, Im not) I can understand if ghost doesnt see one on another page. Starts typing a post and doesnt want to erase it (or doesnt want to open another tab out of pure laziness) and he doesnt see it on the previous page. You just have to scroll up. If there wasnt already a speed wagon started on ghost, then I would be laughing harder as I added a vote.

He was drunk again. The pressure of the case was becoming too much. As he drove a car pulled out behind him and turned on it’s high beems. The bright light flooding his eyes through the rearview mirror caused him to lose control and he crashed his car into fire hydrant. As water leaked into the street, he tried to regain his focus but the combination of the alcohol and the likely concussion he had just received made it impossible. He was unaware of the man standing next to his car and the gunshot that killed him. If not were for the blood, anyone who saw him would have just assumed he was sleeping it off after tying another one on.
