Read pretty far into V now and have to say that it's nothing like the movie.

Note that when it first appeared (in installments in Warrior, an independent brit monthly comic whose demise was the reason Moore swore never to work for Marvel again) it was in black and white, and more effective for it.
For my money, Warrior was one of the finest comics ever.

I think that both the comic and the movie have their advantages though.

In other news I've decided to grow a beard. I haven't had one for a few years now, and I like to check every now and then whether it's gone gray yet.

Well, I've got to say. It's really surprising the differences between V For Vendetta the graphic novel and V For Vendetta the movie. I wouldn't even consider them the same concept, the only thing they seem to share in common is character names and a few scenes but there is a completely different attitude behind the two works. The plot on the surface may look SIMILAR but it is in actuality vastly different.
