By the way did I mention that he also was the one who introduced John to Yoko?

No no, that was Gene Simmons of KISS. After all, AC/DC did tour with them when Bon was still alive.

Gene Simmons was just a tool for Elvis. You got to remember that everything leads back to Elvis sooner or later.

It's time for Strike's band of the day.

Today's band is

Pink Floyd. This band is my personal favorite and very unique. 3 out of my top 5 albums (including the #1 and #2 spot) were made by them along with a couple more of their albums in my top 10.

Oh, by the way, in the end we weren't able to see Valkyrie so instead we went to Slumdog Millionaire. I have to say it was a very good movie. I believe probably enjoyed it more than I would have enjoyed Valkyrie. It takes a harsh look at what it's like to be born into a Muslim slum in India and the struggles that the main characters have to go through just to survive. Another good thing is that pace of the movie is very good. It's a little less than 2 hours long so it neither drags out nor goes too fast. Overall I'd rate the movie as a 9.4.

We saw Valkyrie, and enjoyed it.
I'd have liked more background to the plot, to see the conspirators before they decided hitler must go, but the acting and pacing were very good. less action that I'd expected from the trailers.

I'll probably wait till it comes out on DVD. Especially since I'm heading back today.

Now take it easy target. There's no reason anyone needs to be hurt here.

I thought you would like it. I've been getting less than 4 hours of sleep a night lately. Anytime I get some sleep is a big deal. Unfortunately the wife seems to think I sleep the entire time I'm at work. So there would be no need for me to get some sleep once I come home.

You see I work in a sleep factory. Not to be confused with a dream factory. Those guys work their asses off down at the dream factory. I work as a sleep tester down at the sleep factory. I come home from work everyday well rested and stress free ;)

In other news, I've just played a very successful game of "Sock Snap". Around 20 pairs of socks that thought they'd spend the rest of their existence single have been reunited with their solemates. Unfortunately several pair belonged to the kids who have, very inconsiderately, ourgrown them.

How inconsiderate of them.

You leave me no choice.

*Uses hypnosis to make target fall asleep.*

That's better. Why didn't I do that to begin with?

It's time for strike's movie of the week.

This week's movie is Slumdog Millionaire. It earned those awards. Trust me. Go see it. NOW!

On another note. I heard that Heath won for best supporting actor. So who accepted the award on his behalf?
