How do they bother you Jef? Remember I need to place them in a place that allows for at least 3 characters to be visible and not in the way of anything important on the map image itself.

Looking good!! red, please put your original little sig back on the map. You know your little propeller. It looks better than the one you have now! I see nothing wrong with the map (maybe because I've been staring at mine to long  )! Hope this gets the GR soon!

Just the off center on the 1st one (two) really.. You have lots of room with those for the 3 digit rule.

Told ya I was nitpicking.. great job!

Looks wonderful.
Do you use photobucket to host your images ?
If so, check out their quick editing room. You can easily and quickly play around with the contrast and such. I think that the text can be sharpened up just a bit with the contrast setting. 8-)

The borders on the large map still look a bit pixelly... have a look at this topic in the Tutorials and Guides forum: How to draw smooth borders

Perhaps you could point out where. I do not see the problem that you are referring to. :?

Who, Benn? He's referring to the outer land border, on which I agree with him…

My eyes are not the best, and I was simply asking if there was a particular place where the pixellation is evident. Do you know, or are you just sucking up as usual ?

As usual? Ha, like you know crap. I'm referring to the land border as a whole.

So you can't point out where.
Whats that sucking sound ?

I am not saying that its not, just maybe an explanation, If you can't help, 44, take the brown nosing elsewhere. ;)

Oh my god. The entire outer border is pixellated. The whole thing. Every part of it. Every curve is pixellated. What do you not get?!

OK 44, maybe you could define "pixelly" for me. Since you agree that it is pixelly, you should have no problem defining it. Right ?

OK you two love birds... This is MAP FOUNDRY. Even I try to be respectful. :D

Mrbenn put a link in his post: How to draw smooth borders

What is being said is the borders are not smooth. Kinda jagged.

As an example look at the Fukui border.

As far as my tastes are it gives it realistic character.

Now kiss and hold mouses.

Thank you Jeff, I am glad that you addressed my question. The "jaggedness" I saw, but was not sure that, that is what Benn was talking about, when he said it was pixelly. Hence my inquiry.
To me it just looks more detailed with the jagged borders. I do NOT see any pixellation going on at all. The lines are not smooth, but this does not seem to be a result of pixellation problems.

...That is why I asked. ;)

It may or may not look better with smoother lines. It is a matter of taste I guess. I do NOT see any reason for this taste issue, to hold this map up.

No fighting. I will fiddle with the borders some more as asked, I have no issue with this. I appreciate your defense of the map porkenbeans. This issue and subject overall is NOT something to get all hot and bothered about. I will delete every image I've ever created or manipulated before I let the fun get sucked out of the enjoyment I get from simply creating. Yes I get frustrated a little from time to time when I feel like I'm done, but remember there's always something enhance or tinker with.

Could this image be used as a map today, probably; can it be better, yes. Simple as that. I will work on it, I ENJOY working on it. Take your quibbles elsewhere.

Please don't think I'm pushing at MrBenn for the stamp with "Domo Arigato MrBenn!" I got kinda tired last night, but I was working on a spoof of my own map with a dancing robot on it... but got tired and fell a sleep and only posted the change in the title. But I finished it.

Domo Arigato Mr Roboto <--really funny Japanese version of the original Styx song from the 70's... think bad Godzilla movie+early Power Rangers.

HA HA dancing Bender,
Hey Red, I was only trying to ask a legitimate question, as to ascertain what Mr. Benn was trying to say. 44 was not helping, only hindering with his condescending comments.
I too enjoy the creative process, but sometimes I have no patience for belligerent trolls, that are clearly not trying to help.
