I find the more castles then villages a bit, odd. Other then that I can't say much more until the legend is redone and we have territory names.

Will you be converting any of the open plains to farm land or other things?

mud mud glorious mud.

where is all the mud?

on a similar theme, can you make the land more varied, less grass, more of different terrain types, how about adding some trees?

make river more realistic :D

make some hills and valleys, make the land hilly. I can do a bumpmap for it if you like.

villages. make the realistic they looked good in the old map.

probably more things bit tired to think of them right now.

tel your an arse  lol

If i make hill any more "hilly" i risk them looking bad with terr boarders. i do agree the land scape needs more stuff. ill PM you the layer with only grass land and you can do your bump mapping. but im not guaranteeing ill use it

I'm with Telvannia for the most part.

The map seems very flat and smooth. I think the land itself could use some more colour variation and perhaps a more realistic shade of grass green as a whole. I can see there's some height variation to the map, but it's too smooth and perhaps too obvious. Some more gentle rolling hills mixed with some plains might look better. Giving the land some texture would really help give it that edge as well.

I have to say the bridges and their shadow effect are my favourite part of the map. However, the casltes and villages look very undersized in comparison. The castles and villages also suffer from the same flat and smoothness as the rest of the map. Perhaps look into making bigger castles with more depth and texture. Some better graphics too, the objects representing castles on the map don't look much like castles to me.

I like the idea :)
So you start with just 1 or 2 terr and rest is neutral? or is your 'armie' split into pieces and you have to unite them under the rule of one?
