With the exception of the above "mistake", there are other complaints about this map?
I'm tempted to make a pre-quech last call for this one. :-k

Learning the map is harder than usual, yet I get the (albeit very early) feeling that it's wonderfully balanced. This will surely spice up the 1v1 scene, where far too often the games are essentially over affter only 3-4 rounds.

Kudos! Thanks Kab!

i agree 100%.....i like the fact that due to there being no territory bonus, that the playing field is even at the start and typically several rounds into the game. it allows for a bad round or two and still gives that player a chance to come back with the variety of possible bonuses available. going second in 1vs1 play is not a death sentence, as it is with some maps. in my opinion this is the best map on CC. Kab gets my vote for Mapmaker of the Year. =D>

NB, from my part I'll just need to correct the misspelling on 'Emperor Bonus' in the small map. I'll post right away.

I have some space limitations there so ended up with these 2 options:

(I'd keep the second one. It makes sense letting the bubbles stay behind the boards)

Agree, the second version (bubbles behind the legend) looks better.

Need to indicate that when holding westerrn barbarian tribes and holding the Eastern Augustus, and vice versa for eastern tribes and western capital, that it results in negative armies. Not a nice thing to find out on such a complex looking and attacking map.

Um... a little bit confused... is there a bonus per colored region? I can see their region names in faded text but can't seem to find any indication that there is a bonus awarded but in my games I think I'm getting some sort of extra men for them. I hope its written somewhere on the map and I've just missed it.

Helix, in the Government box you can read that: 'The Vicarious will yield 1 army for each 2 regions in his Diocesis'

you need to own a vicarious to trigger any bonus for those colored regions

I think I was mistaking the +1 for every two diocese regions afor the vicarious aut deploy. So mch for reading the directions...

But otherwise I'm really enjoying this map... you make good maps Kab!

Why does the legend say bombard direction? I see no bombard directions on the map.

The bombard is on the legend and not on the map. Legions can bomb Barbarian outposts.
