Bloody excitable latin types, swarming round the ref like girls round the designer bargains in a shoe shop sale...
Real have a better chance of turning it round than Schalke but pretty slim all the same.
Maybe we can rely on the awesome bad blood between the two bringing out the worst in Real ending with several notable Barca injuries! Messi for a start

Mourinho is taking notes to send to SAF now

Mourinho said he'd quit if Real didn't win CL. Guess only time will tell.
Edit: This is for pirlo

I just saw Messi's second goal and just about ejaculated in my boxers. Holy shit, what a fucking goal! He's been the best player in the world for about two years now. f*ck Ronaldo, Rooney, Torres, etc. Messi is a legend.

Good article, I agree Mourinho plays a negative game but results are what really count.
He definitely sells papers too!

Over or under? 1 first team appearance for the boy by the end of his
10 year contract?

Chelsea (aka dirty cheating lucky punks!) 2-1 Tottenham (aka woeful misfortunates)
Good grief, talk about the ref being a homer! The first DCLP goal, the equaliser, didn't cross the line at all and the second was off-side... No ref can ignore Abramovich's brown envelopes
Still, if United can conjure up a win today against Arsenal (which, in all sincerity they bloody well should) the title could be sewn up next Sunday when DLCP come to OT.

First Lampard's goal was more than a fair bit over unlike what you imply. That may have been a somewhat lucky call.
The second, was it kalou?, was scrappy and perhaps offisde but again the refs can't be faulted much there.
There was a fairly solid penalty claim denied for Chelsea.
Regardless the spurs were fairly lucky anyway to be even close considering how much they were getting outplayed. The two goals were scrappy, but tottenham's goal was compltely against the run of play and chelsea definitely deserved 3 points after that match.
Chelsea beating tottenham was the first out of the three stepping stones to the title. Now we just have to see if Arsenal can beat man u, fingers crossed.

The whole of the ball must cross the whole of the line. Which it most certainly did not, lucky call indeed...
Can't really blame ref for allowing an off-side goal to stand? Why not?
I'll agree Spurs' goal was against the run of play but nonetheless both your goals were against the rules of play!
Big week for us now, subdue Arsenal today, finish Schalke on Wed then put paid to DCLP's season (and probably manager too!) next Sunday...

it is not necessarily a bribe from the club or its owner. sometimes the domestic football association is involved in order to keep the contention so they gain extra millions rather than having the league finished "too early".
sometimes and in some situations, Man UTD can benefit from that if the association needed to.

...maybe that's how it works in Italia my friend, but not in England.
Bloody Arsenal. Still, keeps it interesting for the neutrals I suppose..

I guess it is how things work worldwide.. remember Henry's handball against Ireland? FIFA wanted France in the 2010 world cup..
football is no longer just a game, it is industry now

So... Man Utd fans... how did you fair against Arsenal? Well? What happened? How did you and your £200,000+ a week striker get on against us?
Huh?

Man UTD's real problem now is the pressure, with a CL Final vs. Barca of which they have to keep thinking.

I'm not giving excuses. not even a fan of premier league. just offering some analysis of this situation.. though Man UTD are experienced enough to manage this situation. but if I have to choose between CL & PL, I'd sacrifice the PL.

The Champions League is probably a bigger prize for a team like Man Utd or Arsenal, seeing as neither have ever won it, but for Liverpool, the League would be bigger.

for me, CL is always bigger.. you can win the league every year, but in CL you don't get a chance to reach the advanced stages like semi-finals easily.. also, in the league, you can lose many games and still win, but in CL, a tiny mistake can ruin your dream. Chelsea made a defensive mistake vs, Man UTD 0-1 when Rooney was left alone in the box.
