JoshyBoy wrote:Haha, we are not the second best team in the country. How can you say that? You cannot make all your judgements based on the numbers 1 to 20. We have been absolute gash this season and how we are going to be able to finish second is beyond me. We deserve relegation after a season like this. Our manager is so set in his ways, it is killing us. We are young, inexperienced. Our keepers and defenders constantly f*ck up and cost us games.
Funnily enough I could say much the same about United this season... Pundits have dubbed them "poor" and "not like the United of old" many times already (justifiably too) so how we're gonna win the title on the back of so many mediocre performances is frankly beyond me!
Contrasted with the likes of Wolves and Blackpool who have beaten many so-called big teams, particularly Wolves who have beaten the whole top 6 as far as I know and yet languish in the lower regions of the division, throws the vagaries of chance and fate into sharp relief.
That said, Arsenal under Wenger have consistently produced phenomenal football but lack the inner fire which, like it or not, is characteristic of Ferguson. Ultimately it boils down to self-belief and mentality, and the positivity or negativity of a team reflects that of the manager.
Wenger's a puff. Stylish, learned yet lacking the killer instinct. Discuss...

I'm gutted for you, Joshy I really am....now where did I put my tissues.
ahhh...thats better
Meanwhile, back in the real world, it would appear that I will no longer be supporting a league team next season. So you'll have to excuse me for not caring a bit more about your lack of silverware. The only pretentiousness around here is some peoples belief that their chosen set of foreign players has a right to win anything. You are second in the table and you deserve relegation????? f*ck off and get some perspective.
According to my spell checker, I got pretentiousness correct first time

Wenger will never get fired. He is an economist first and will always guarantee that the club will make money. This year, like most years for Arsenal, they have their eggs in too many baskets. They should of put all their money into winning the League Cup and moved on from there instead of trying to win the double or tripple every year. Also, Arsenal lack balls. They have no Vieira or Mckeown. Fabregas isn't a leader. He was made captain to keep him in England. What Arsenal needs is an "anitfootballer" someone like van Bommel, who will get pissed if they are losing or at least put the blame on someone instead of the boy band that Arsenal is right now.

Clear to see that Gypsy knows f*ck all about Arsenal football club. Go get a grip.
Let's move on, to a more interesting subject. Barcelona. 81 points? +67 goal difference? Unbelievable dominance this season, and the best club in the world.

Congrats man! I remember being in a nightclub in Manchester that was empty until 11:30 when a bus-load of triumphant Milan fans came in to celebrate beating Juventus in the CL final at Old Trafford, great bunch of lads
I hope Tottenham do well tonight, be great if they could actually knock Real out, though somehow I doubt it...
I'm nervous about the game on wed, United just can't seem to beat Chelsea these days, maybe we're due a win by laws of probability?!

Barca have a cracking keeper in Valdes by the way!
Tottenham are the dark horses of the tournament, and must be loving their European adventure.

Maybe not so much now...
What a tanking! I don't think Madrid even played that well, Spurs just gave up and sat back, sulking almost...

Crouch got two yellows after 15 minutes? After that it was easy street for Real.

I thought Schalke would be the dark horse. Look at their league position.

United 2-0 Fulham
10 points clear with 6 games left... Looking pretty much odds on at this stage

arsenal still have 2 games in hand but with 6 games left and at worst a 4 point lead its still looking really good for us to win that 19th league title.

I've already handed United the title. Even if we win both games in hand and somehow beat them, we would still be 1 point behind.

Man Utd2-1 Chelsea .Another win over chelsea that sees them going without a trophy this season.3-1 on agg and still on course for the treble.
United into the semi final against most likely schalke so i really think we got a great shot at making it to the final.

YYYEEEESSSSS!!!! Lovely lovely fucking lovely! Can't get a win against the bastards for toffee in the league but happily managed it with aplomb in the biggest prize
Park's goal was sensational, they score through Drogba (who I have to admit is a player I hate to see against us but would LOVE to see in a Man U shirt) and like a minute or two later we leg it down their end and bang one in for good luck, delightful stuff!
On the Schalke thing though, they've got some tasty big names; I was surprised to see the likes of Raul and Edu and Huntelaar...
Perhaps they're not the push-over we'd like to think but certainly a better prospect than Barca or Real...
Just for extra joy (-ousness) Tevez looks like he'll miss rest of season for Shitty (Daz where are you?!) and certainly miss Sat's FA Cup semi against us so we're marching on 3 fronts still, even with one of the most mediocre seasons performances in living memory (tonight notwithstanding) Come on UNITED!!!!!!

they may have big names in there squad but i wouldnt say they beat us over 2 legs.united are starting to hit top form just when we need to ,rooney getting nearly a goal a game now ,chicarito always a threat, ferdinand and vidic back together(although rio struggled throughtout the match) and ofcourse they great van dar sar in goal(grreat tackle on anelka

)schalke may not be a push over but we are certainly better than them so id expect us to go through to a final where i dunno who id rather face more barcelona or jose's Real.
as for the FA cup shitty without tevez lack inspiration.is rooney banned from the fa cup due to that stupid 2 match ban?
i still dont know why ppl still think this season has been crap for united.yes we havent been playing like other seasons but going undefeated until the new year in the league ,having 35+ goals from the 3 strikers we have and still with the possibility for a treble this may be our best season in years yet everyone says we arent as good as before.

Yeah Rooney's banned from FA Cup (cos it was ban by the fa so all domestic stuff affected, thankfully not Uefa stuff too!)
Oh we've had a mediocre year man, we've not played particularly well barring 2 or 3 notable exceptions, whereas in the past would have been played well barring...etc
Van Der Sar nearly made me cough my beer all over sitting room man! What was he at at all?! Still, got away with it
Reckon I'd rather face Real, purely cos when we last met Barca we seemed to freeze like rabbits in the headlights, so to speak, whereas with Real we kinda would have more of a gung-ho outlook. Either way it's gonna be a hard final to win, assuming we make it past Schalke which hopefully we do!

I hope Man Utd face Barca in the final, because this time, even if United turn up, it won't matter. Barcelona will destroy them.
I can't emphasize how good Barca have been this season... fucking phenomenal.
In other news, how hilarious is the Arsenal goal keeping shamlbles? We have no keepers except the 41 year old German, who should have been sent off last game. Wenger will be running down to the youth camps looking for a new keeper at this rate. Of course he could spend between £10-£20 million and try to get a proper keeper like Given, Jaskeleinen, or Kasper.
