There was a kill last night. It's pretty unlikely there's no doctors, so I think we can establish no one was lightning rod last night. Maybe mr inc. was roleblocked? Only explanation I can think of really

That's a good point. One of these three things is true: either Incrediball was roleblocked last night, MM's definition of a lightning rod is different then ours / Mafiascum's, or Incrediball is lying. Out of those three options, I would guess that Incrediball having been roleblocked last night is the most apparent one, as it does not depend on somebody making a mistake (as a low-pressure lightning rod claim would be) so I think we can assume that Incrediball got blocked. I might suggest that we should keep doing that, as I personally have no read on any possible scum except for maybe animorph, and even that's tenuous. I feel like we need the night actions to figure out who these dangblasted scum are, so I might ask whoever blocked Incrediball (assuming somebody did) to do it again tonight.

Wait... if there's a role-blocker, then we have a problem in logic.
Mr incrediball is a lightning rod -- he attracts the actions of everybody that night. However, this includes the action of the roleblocker (who, for the sake of argument, wanted to block someone else). So mr incrediball's lightning rod ability is neutralized that night. But then... do everybody else's actions work as intended? Including the role-blocker's? In which case mr incrediball was in fact never roleblocked?

no, once the roleblocker roleblocks someone, his night action is used. So, everyone but the roleblocker would get their choice.
Also, Mr.I, can we have a name?

Nvm, about the name part, just reread and found it. Job would make sense as a lightning rod.

ok, this isn't helping... i'm the lightning rod. i just got freaked out when animo "guessed" there was a lightning rod role. i'd like him to explain, right now, without all this "guessing" bullshit.
Don't ask me to explain, the first idea that popped into my head was lightning rod. But that's not possible unless we have 1 less docotor then mafia groups, and I doubt we have 2+ mafia groups.

Wow, i was confused yesterday, but after reading this my head almost popped...so if all the actions at night go to the ligtning rod, do they work in the order they are received by MM?

Icedagger, anything happen to you last night? A simple yes or no will confirm this. No details.

I have no idea what you just said.
I'll try my best to simplyfy it, but with me in gr.8 & u higher than that (I think) it's odd.
1st: It was a guess, nothing else involved.
2nd: I noticed that the lightning rod role wouldn't have been possible with more mafia than doctors.

Ok that's what I thought you said.. but I thought I must have been mistaken because it doesn't really make any sense. Doesn't matter how many people target you for a kill, as long as you're protected you can't be killed.
I'm still curious as to how you know about the lightning rod role. Not about your guess, but about how you know about the role's existance in general. I'm sure there's an explanation, just curious

ah. that explains a lot then. i was under the impression that roleblockers were cancelled out by lightning rods.

There is left feild guessing, and then there is LEFT FIELD GUESSING. And Brother, you ain't even in the ball park if that was just a guess. You need to be more careful with saying things like that because it makes you look scummy. As for who to vote for at the moment, I have no freakin clue.

not the mafia wiki, but the mikeburnfire thing, go under town roles, and it'd there, but it's an easy role to put under mafia as well, depending on which side the mod wants to win.

I'm gonna throw a vote on talapus. unvote vote talapus
The only thing you've done is pressure animo and try to get him lynched subtly so you weren't suspected. Also, you have just done the old "I have nothing".
I'm also trying to create some stuff to move this along.

HAHAHAHA......there wasn't anything all that subtle about it actually. He proposed an idea that was way out there for day 2 and seemed to have inside info. Out of all the games I've played in I have yet to ever be in one with a lightning rod. So, I found it very odd. It amuses me though that you put your vote on me and not one of the many people who hoped on board the animo bandwagon a few pages back. Gauranteed there were some scum on board that lynching wagon. But whatever dude, the fact that you'd rather point your finger at someone who made a very valid point for thinking someone was scum then one of the many who just flat out tried getting someone lynched speaks volumes as to your role in this game.

The fact that you are trying to shrug this off with the "HAHAHA" and the "this amuses me" to make my argument look faulty is a weak defence. Did you not pick up on the clues that ani was town?

Wow, just wow. How many games with ani have you played so far? Because seriously if you look at his track record thus far....the clues he drops mean squat. In another game I dropped a vote on him for being excessivly quiet for a long while because it was the first time ever he didn't say something he shouldn't have and get himself lynched. On topn of all that I pointed out the fact of the "Alleged" inside info pretty quickly after the day. Town or not, you shouldn't come out and say things like that. Many others pointed it out too, but it's ok to ignore those and point at me. So yes, HAHAHA, your argument is a joke.

No, you're misunderstanding what he was saying. Animo acts scummy every game, it's best to not take the "clues" he drops with a grain of salt.
