The way khaz, Wain and Incan are shooting their mouths of in our recruitment thread is shameful. Day after day they troll, spouting juvenile crap in our thread with the sole purpose of stirring up trouble and smearing our name. I haven't had to put up with this sort of shit since I set my sights on getting The Farmers Guild named and shamed. It really is the sort of behaviour that washes away any trace of professionalism and courtesy. The fact that it is coming from one of your 'leaders' is shameful.

anyone up for it? 50 dubs, 30 trips, 20 quads? each clan making half games, so each would make 25 dubs, 15 trips and 10 quads?

I just think they are having fun, try to to personalize it. A lot in both clans are competitive and having some banter maybe. I could say some bad things too, but I like to many players in your clan, lol.

I never said one bad thing about you guys. It was you and pie that lashed out with responses that were both inflammatory and weirdly disproportionate to the general (seemingly pretty friendly) tenor of the conversation.

Seriously, you and pie went to like DEFCON 2 at the drop of a hat. Be cool, I like and respect you and many of your clanmates, I was a prominent supporter of your clan during your recent unpleasantness, and if you didn't laugh at the "subliminal accusations of necrobestiality" thing, or at least crack a smile, then you have no soul.

Unless, of course, this whole thing was one big goof, in which case I applaud you.

Hrm. I noticed Achilles response to that unqualified candidate in your thread and though it might have been a joke, you had to think someone would respond.

I haven't gone back through the threads, mostly because I stopped dealing with flame wars somewhere on Usenet in 1993 or so (that might give too much of a hint to my age, I guess). But I've always found a polite PM/email goes a long way. I've not known you to be a hothead, Pi, so I'll assume you truly want this to just go away, right ? It does work both ways - each time one side posts, it just escalates. I didn't think it was a terribly classy jab to start with, but so it goes. It's sort of like when someone comes into this thread to stir things up...and it has happened multiple times since I've been here. Let it die and it goes away.

Perhaps you all can work it out. There's too many players in your clan I respect. And of course, I always stand with my THOTA brethren. Let's let the silliness go, do our thing, and we'll eventually get our challenge in. I have to find new dice before that starts, though.
