I agree, animo is not acting comparativly scummy. However, if mr inc has a investigation roll as (at least I hope) he is hinting, we get ourselves a scum lynch very quickly. If animo is not scum, it could well indicate that mr inc is scum trying to mislead us.
I agree this could missfire if mr inc is a mad cop, but surely this reasoning is better than a shot in the dark?
If animo is scum and inc is cop: we get a good lynch. mr inc is protected for further use. If animo is town and inc is misleading mafia: we get a good lynch second day. If animo is town and inc is mad cop: I'm afraid we lose out a little, but at least we know where we stand.

Agreed. Thats why i asked not to cast the lynch untill we have confirmation.
ok, this isn't helping... i'm the lightning rod. i just got freaked out when animo "guessed" there was a lightning rod role. i'd like him to explain, right now, without all this "guessing" bullshit.

I'm confused about how the lightning rod works...if all the night actions are redirected at him does that mean that no matter who an action is aimed at they all go to the lightning rod?
i.e. Cop investigates X, mafia kill Y & doc protects Z, then the lightning rod is investigated, protected & has an attempt at killing him every night?
The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on. Ulysses S. Grant
The best defense against the atom bomb is not to be there when it goes off.

yes which is why there would be a no kill every night

Wow this was.. unexpected. So is it one-shot or does it work every night or what?

Hmmm I can't find the role on the mafia wiki. Can anyone link me to a game with it? If it does work every night, looks like mr inc's dug himself a nice hole here
Very strange. It's a pretty solid claim though. I don't see how a bus driver would work, as there would still have been no kill with all the protections going to one guy
Damnation, sorry for getting the wrong end of the stick Mr Inc, this'll require a bit of rethinking, but as I'm too tired at the moment, I'll leave that 'till later.
I'm not sure but, since it was David who was targeted this day phase, should that have been redirected, or is lightning rod restricted to nights? Also, I believe that if this is true, everyone with investigation abilities should have been forced into investigating cmc last night, is anyone willing to confirm his story? (preferably not a cop.)
David killed Satan during the day -- I don't think the lightning rod applies during the day. Unless there's a day busdriver too? Somehow I find that doubtful.
