I voted for "Yes, I would like to play the next Madness but some rules need to change (if you select this response please PM me the change(s) you would like to see)."
The rules that I'm thinking about involve some sort of information prior to subscribing to the events. Up till now all events have been entirely random (map and settings). It would be nice to give some sort of bearing to the players that would like to join so they can actually have some kind of choice.
Nonetheless I guess it has been a tremendous amount of work with organizing this mammoth so congrats and keep it up!

Yeah, I would tend to agree with those comments.
I used to like the idea of total randomization, but I've learned through bitter experience that it produces a lot of very boring games. Nowadays I believe in some, carefully guided, randomization.
For 1v1, total randomization is still okay. For multiplayer format, it is not. 8-player no spoils terminator will almost always turn into a tiresome stacking game.
On most maps, spoils in multiplayer games should be in line with what people play: 50% escalating, 25% flat rate, 15% nuclear, 5% no spoils and 5% zombie. But there are maps where that is not true. Maps with heavy bonus structures -- Conquer Rome, Rorke's Drift, CIty Mogul, Baltic Crusades, King's Court, etc. -- can be interesting with no spoils or nukes. But then you have to choose those maps and can't use random map. For random map, only lots of escalating produces mostly happy players, at least 50% and possibly more.
if you decide to do this again, talk to me...

Motion seconded. I really need to cut back but I've really enjoyed the tourney. And I never even bother to watch the olympics. I might play the next installment though. See how things are then.
