Looks like the Vic absolutely smoked us feathers this time around. Although, they failed to actually field a ... TEAM

I definitely wanted to play my matches - just felt like the mojo wasn't there (actually it was - on the other team's side *lol*). There we go - I know what it was. I'm like a closer in baseball. Every game is like a tense 9th inning. Because it didn't seem like the Vic was going to field a team, I went out in the 8th inning of a blowout (just to get my innings in) and got creamed !!!

P.S. I have no idea why I'm posting this. It's not like we have a post-season, or that the winner is going to be determined on total games won. Maybe I'm just sour that I got/am getting smoked in all 3 of my matches?

Haha Aerial you're the best, loved that analogy. You smoked me in all our other tourney's so this one isn't so bad. Always love our games together. Wonder what it'd be like to actually be on your team though.

While I think the tourney should be about participation, in the long run, isn't it about the fun of playing the games and competing. I think you should be able to use players in multiple games if others don't show up. There's no fun in gaining points because your opposition didn't show up, and no contest in that.

It's so hard to get 8 people in the same place at the same time, let alone 16 (2 teams). It's like trying to herd a group of cats... there is no way they'll all walk in the same direction. What are other peoples opinions? I lost points last round because I didn't fill spots. This round I have, and we've won a few of those games, but I think it's better for the tournament, as we get to -play- the games rather than forfeit them.

Comments? Opinions? Flames?

Oh, and on that note. The Vic is looking for 4 more players, (although at the risk of getting penalised for getting more people involved, I'm wary... That's another thing I think need talking. Punishment for trying to get more people involved...)

no need to be so glum, just be possitive, we may have lost this round but the tournement isnt over yet and hey... atleast i won one of mine... lol so far iv found singles pretty easy, coincidence probbally and triples and doubles where fairly easy too with the exception of the one im in... looking bad for me... really bad...

im in control of lindon but i only got 9 armies in total... 4 at one end and 3 at the other with the 2 inbetween.... i was hoping for more support but seams like im gonna have to support myself... but i have a plan... mwahahaha (or not T.T)

anyone from my team wana pm some ideas on game 2? (the one im in with aneiko) and feel free to post him pms too

isnt it like misus 5 or something?

and iv replaced a person who didnt show for his game, with permission of course...

Kid was right on to laugh - I was mostly joking (a little frustrated at my own "performance" - I expect to win 2+ games per round). I've already said, I didn't mind playing the games - that's why I'm on the site.

I don't know if there is a one set of games per player rule ... Obviously I didn't want 4 walkovers - heck no, I wanted three cake match-ups *smirk* !!!

Yeah, I'm with Aerial, I see your point tho Tieryn, you kinda just got pushed into the position of leading and then our leader never returned. We should definitely in the long haul not be penalized for looking for replacements for deadbeats and/or leavers, that'd be BS.

Any games joined that were not to the original list for this round will be forfeited to opponents as teams have allready forfeited in other rounds because of deadbeats and no-shows.

well the original post stated after round 2 that there would be a penalty of two points for a team bringing in a new player and also i set a limit of 8 players( of which you would need 6)

Would team captains like an amnesty on this penalty and an increase in team members or even unlimited. It would always be beneficial to teams if captains were to pm members before providing team list, to check on availability fo the round.

I will take a vote of captains if nessassary but i think this is a good option.

I am struggling to get a captain for the Jockey at the moment so those games havnt startd so i guess there will be a small break for a while until a new one is found and the problem of player no-shows and penalty points is sorted
