What can you say?
Messi is the best player in the world by a mile, bar none, and he proved that with a single-handed demolition of Arsenal.
I don't mind being dumped out the CL if it's by a player as good as him.

So, no English clubs in the semis for the first time in a million years.
What do we think? Is this proof that 'the best league in the world' is in decline, or will we be back to normal next year?

Rangers 3 Aberdeen 1
Davis, Lafferty, Miller.
back to more convincing win here. great goals by Davis and Lafferty.

2 more wins(or 1 against sellick) and the title is ours once again.
can I just add that was an amazing display by Messi and a fantastic goal by Robben.
going to
City on Sunday, looking forward to getting off to a flyer like last week.

Tricky one.
I think that Chelsea, Man U, and Arsenal will all be contenders next season.
As for the rest of England, it looks bleak. Liverpool are in some dire straits. Shocking season.

Cracking game at Anfield tonight!
Spine-tingling hearing tens of thousands of Liverpool fans singing "You'll Never Walk ALone" towards the end of their 4-1 thumping of Benfica.
Liverpool played some amazing football and the goals were all quality. Torres did really well considering he wasn't 100%. Lucas' goal was quality, showing what he is capable of, a little gem in the side. Kuyt worked hard as always.
Europa League? Little consolation for their abismal season but they'll take it.

Don't think we're gonna see the same kind of english domination for a long time. Looks like the spending at united, chelsea and liverpool has all dried up for various reasons and that's ultimately what the success of all three has been based on. If bayern, real and the italians stop underachieving as looks likely and the french teams keep doing well which is admittedly less likely it could be a completely different picture.
On an unrelated note is it just me who's noticed how shockingly bad gibson is at everything except shooting? Why is he a midfielder?!

Fuckers! why don't you ever answer my questions of comment on my posts? all i read is carling cup's scores.
I'm gonna go post in the other Football (real) thread although I know nothing of american rugby. Perhaps they'll answer me "go to hell" at least.
