could you put an EG: J1, T1, S2, C2
or something similar
under the starting position 1 and 2 text. I just don't think people will know what starting postions 1 and 2 are.

yea they're good. My only concern is that they're all pretty much the same (at least I think they are) but just turned different ways sometimes. But, it's not a big deal to me. I mean how much different can you make one tree from another from this viewpoint? Probably nothing significant. So, good enough for me.

Kewl, thanks, yes they are all the same but simply turned different ways...i wasn't exactly going to spend a lot of time on them now if they didn't work for someone. but will probably do something towards mixing them up a bit later.
Bonuses
edbeard...
1. i am going to change the "start" position text to remove "start" from that rectangle and replace it with another two bonus points.
2. the text below that will read: Batteries AA, AB & AC can bombard & eliminate bonuses on positions P1-C1 & -P2-C2
This may mean that someone can have their bonuses wiped out in one single go, but to stop that from happening, batteries won't be able to bombard the Smith, Jones etc starting positions and everyone will continue to get at least 2 bonus points through out the entire game even if someone continues to bombard them from those two starting positions.
I think that makes good sense, afterall it is not really a starting position because everyone is also starting elsewhere in airport and castle.
What Do you think? I'll put map up shortly.

a wall...yes...i will clarify that shortly and make it clearer.
how do i do that?
1. snow made with layers of white, grey, blue, purples and pink at different size air and watercolour brushes
2. castle rock - solid shape with 50% opacity on metal texture with 50% inner opacity inner bevel photoshop effect of satin layering
3. trees - took a "plan" view of a birch tree and airbrushes with thick watercolour texture layers of white and gray, with an underlayer airbrushed to create the under-tree shadow
4. snow on pathway edges is simply bitmap airbrushing layers of 50% opacity to gain the correct density.
5. dark area behind the "start bonuses" is an image of the Austrian Alps airbushed over until that desired effect and placement came about.

The intricacies of the game play are a little beyond me, but I've always liked the direction of this game play...it appealed to me more so than other objective maps. I think it will be an interesting addition to the site!
Could you clarify to me, what Der Stadt bonus is? And the Additional Minor Bonuses? It all has to do with the town, right? I feel a little lost in that area, but I think I've got a grip on the rest of game play.
Can Wache In attack Wache Aus and reverse?
And is it supposed to be Markt?

I love the central title, it looks great. I'd consider altering the text to the left and the right...it is difficult to read right now. Perhaps more blur shadow behind it? Something that can pop out that blue a little more.
Some other text could use a little sprucing. Das Schloss +5 at the top seems important, might want to make it bold. Perhaps the same goes for Flughaven.
I'd add a little more white to the Runway/Taxiway text also.
Also, "Tower" could benefit from being bolder, as its background breaks up the letters in an unpleasing way to the eye.
At the bottom, "AA, AB, AC 0" At first I thought the 0 was apart of the name, before I looked on the map and noticed. Is the zero the bonus value? If so, might change it to say "+0" to make it clearer.
Hm, also, if I'm reading the bottom legend right, the Batteries can bomard P1 - C1 and P2 - C2...the dash seems rather scrunched, and if you wanted to add a little clarity you could squash the size of the box to the right to add a little more to the main box left.
I love the parachutes...but the ones in the darker gray area get lost and look like snow hills. Perhaps a touch more white to the rope lines, so they stand out?

Der Stadt = The Town.
Hold all terts - bonus 9
Hold 2 terts for +1, hold 5 for +3, and hold 9 terts for + 7
Perhaps it is the word additional....so i will remove that.

Wache = guard
No, there is no common border there, but i will make that clearer.

no gozar...gameplay wise that was creating problems with xml....so now they can bombard the bonus +2 areas to reduce the capacity of someone to get their bonus...real bitch stuff hehehehe!!

I love the new title, it screams special forces to me, but could you reduce its background texture strength a little? I feel it stands out jsut a little to mch compared to the playable area.
