I just figured giving a child a gendered name doesn't set it up for a very gender neutral childhood.

I don't mean gender neutral in a militant way, preventing children from being boys or girls.

I mean not forcing them to identify sexually. Boys and girls should not be considered breeding pairs like men and women.

Some people reproduce when they are teenagers, I have often heard complaining about it forcing them to "grow up too soon."

Hence countries like Germany, Italy, China, Brazil etc setting the age of consent at 14, I guess.

I'm not sure many societies have widespread sexualisation of children tbf. Except maybe those parts of the US that have child beauty pageants, and of course the French.

Well, pretty much everyone else here seems to be in favour of higher age of consent.

So the ACLU thinks….

1) The State has a DUTY to pay for “Gender Affirming Care” to convicted Criminals.
-> Idiotic. Yes… basic health care nothing more.
-> Possibly it’d be ok for the State to allow a prisoner to pay for their own surgery… but to demand that I the Taxpayer pay is idiotic.

2) The ACLU is also upset we didn’t pay for “GAC” on a Death Row inmate!
-> Like if the dude is gonna be killed imminently they why waste the time/money for surgery?

The ACLU should be upset it took 30 years for the this guy to his sentence acted upon.
The time is the only problem.

Either…
1) He was guilty and they should move his appeals along and act on the sentence within a couple years.
-OR-
2) There were legit questions about his guilt and they should’ve changed the sentence.

I honestly don’t care enough to research…I’m gonna assume it’s #1.

The main thing I KNOW is the State was correct in deny Gender Surgery.
