For what it's worth, that what I was trying to do, but since this thread was so boring, I was mostly reading archived games. Now, I realize you were doing exactly the right thing. Asking questions is a good thing to do when you have no idea. Not that there is anything wrong with studying archives, but it's also important to let people here know you are paying attention. Lurking is a good way to get yourself lynched.

But I think he is scummy. Tobi voted him to get him to claim, which is a different issue.

i just thought of something else. Two players have been beating the scum must be predators bandwagon, chapcrap and tobi.

If they are mafia and are something innocuous like clams, they would do the same.

I find the existence of two species called angel fish to be intriguing. One fresh water and the other salt water, did the mods know this? Or am I hung up on a red herring, which I believe is also a salt water fish.

Never thought of that, the picture i got looks like angel but if i was an ocean angel then the bowl was way to small as they are bigger than that.

looking at the differences then yes i would definately say Disney got it wrong. It appears they were using the fresh water angel fish in thier movie.

My mail says i am fresh water but unless you are a sponge even the salt water one doesn't appear to be very dangerous.

I'm voting jfm atm. Might consider chapcrap but I'd have to look back to make up my mind. And I'd much rather keep it on jfm.
Then why bust others for voting jmf?
jfm10 wrote:ragian is very quiet this game making me think he is town.Just so yous know.
While I appreciate the sentiment, I would hardly say that I'm quiet. There are more people in here that are voice their thoughts, though. Maybe the noise that you've experienced in the DBD games is drowning out?

@aage, not going to quote your entire essay, so I'll just address this. What you call "throwing hands up in the air" is merely a hesitant approach. And clarifying to newbies what a term means is not a bad move. It seems weird that you call out people for voting an inexperienced player and then get annoyed that people are trying to help inexperienced players.

D1 is over soon. Can we get a VC, please? For what it's worth, I find mets the most scummy right now, but I might be hung up on him misrepresenting what I said a fair few times. Pershy and skoffin are too quiet for my liking. Especially from what I remember from playing with them.

Day 1 will end CC Time: 2019-03-10 01:59:59 at the latest, unless:
  • There is a lynch prior to the deadline

IF someone is voted at L2 or less, 48 Hours will then be added to the deadline

The funky end time fits with my work schedule to ensure a smooth night scene transition

jfm10 is currently at L2. If at the deadline this is still the case, 48 hours will be added to the day.

Cbf quoting people.

But it would seem to me that voting jfm was a great idea, what with all these tasty morsels to look at.
From the context of the votes thus far I am leaning town for aage and ragoo.
Meanwhile for scum I have blacky and Seriusface, largely for their show of voting jfm last minute to tag along with everyone else but not seeming to put any effort into on their part. Either jm is is scum, or one of these guys is.
Jm is either scum or new-mitch.

Btw, if we are going to label discussing flavour as scummy behaviour to pad post counts - you can add all the newbie guidance to that as well. Great way to appear like an innocent chap by making yourself look like a good ol' mentor to the youngins.

I'm working 6 days a week doing physically demanding shit closing down one of my company's stores. That will be finished with next week. Meanwhile I am fucking tired and going to bed, Award Winning post to save the day can wait til tomorrow yolo

jeez... I have clearly stated my reasons for voting JFM, and my concerns that placing my vote left him at L-3.
(BTW... Looks like my concern was unfounded, scum must have already voted JFM, or they are happy to leave him around)

Skoffin, you have barely posted and now that you do, you try to shake suspicion from yourself by pointing fingers randomly at me and the newbie.

aage's vote is already on chapcrap and he has said it's his top choice. Realistically it's the only other lynch candidate for today. Since I think we should lynch and I am not a fan of the case on jfm, the only thing I can say is that I hope people accept that he's not full claiming and also accept that he has not done enough to warrant a lynch. And then they can move on to the next choice.

Wasn't he also when you bandwagonned on him?

As a sidenote, IF I get the time to read back and decide chap is a better lynch candidate, I intend to switch right after the extension is granted (so we can have one) for about half of the extension and switch back if jfm is closer to a lynch

My other candidate is Pershy and he didn't post for 5 days. How can I move to the next choice and what good will it bring? D1 without a lynch? And you were so supportive of the D1 lynch...

I mean you want people to get off jfm because "he is not full claiming" ?! Don't understand the logic there.

If I get the time to read back I'll make up my mind about Mets, but I don't believe enough people expressed interest about lynching him to make him a viable candidate at this point

Not claiming while two away from a lynch with no reason given or concrete case against another is enough to warrant a lynch by itself.

My top choice seems to not be the town's top choice. The case on chapcrap seems to have little traction, the case on you might. Also good job digging your own grave by answering for me, you already knew I am suspicious of you.

If you refer to my L-2 related quotes, that's just people saying "you gotta wait for L-2 before claiming" and chap then complaining jfm is waiting for L-2 before claiming.
If you mean something else, basically what Skoffin said. I didn't realise there were so many players new to the game. I've tried to answer questions once or twice in the thread but eg. answered Sirius' question about post notifications in PM, which I suggest you all do, with cc to Razorvich. The mods sadly have moved the 'off-topic' to archives, otherwise that would've been a great place to ask and answer questions about the game in general.

Regarding the hesitant approach, in my opinion that's not very pro town behavior. I prefer when people put their money where their mouth is.

It doesn't magically make any other case unworthy of discussion, though. Maybe take the blinders off for a bit and see what else is going on?
