I'm here now, I've been touring Oxford and its university the last 2 days.

Hello, I'm jonty125, a student in the UK and reside in Stoke-On-Trent, renown for been 1/2 way between Manchester and Birmingham, Top Gear complaining about been made to drive through S-o-T, instead of going around it on the M6, Stoke City Football Club who until last year played similar football to Honduras & Prince Phillip describing it as "a ghastly place". And I also quite like my parenthesis to show my thoughts, which have there own thoughts.

I've been playing mafia here regularly for 3 years. Also, this post is probably a bit more vindictive than I normally am, for several reasons, ranging from my health to a ukulele, so if I come across a bit short, I'll try and be nicer as the week goes on (assuming I live that long (ingame, I don't intend on dying IRL)).

Firstly I would like to moan about the vote thread and how it makes everything 10x harder, but the mod is trying his best, and I appreciate that.

@Pancake/JAK-So coming out with the city thing is weird.
And here's why. We don't know mafia win condition, nor other win conditions of roles.
For all we know, mafia might not have known there were cities. You coming out with that might have given them a ton of information.

However, easy newbie mistake, and I'll place you as town for it.

You say pcm has experience and then says he makes a newbie mistake. FOS for contradiction. Next, mafia might not know we're in cities - everyone is in a city (unless I'm mistaken, also to be as clear as clear, I'm not FOS'ing here). Somebody makes a mistake and you think they are town. FOS.

I guarantee that this game is not strictly mafia vs Town.

Of course this game has multiple parties. 24 players. Based off complex literature. And that's all without the flavour from D1.

A potential strategic rolefish, here one where a no means very likely at VT, and yes like likely a VT. I think betiko is just trying to get AoG to post more than a one-liner, and I can't see a player with his experience trying to rolefish, when there are experienced players who will pick him apart for it. But it seems lots of players will disagree with what I've just wrote - fine by me, I admit my reasoning for betiko not rolefishing is WIFOM.

Also, I think betiko is some kind of unlynchable roles which makes him very likely to be town.

See my previous post. Both his posts are fluff. The fact that his second post talks mechanics at a point in time when there was so much else to talk about bothers me the most. The fact that his other post says he is"reading" but doesn't have much to add also doesn't sit well with me. It's not much.

Also,I do not doubt that day power are around. Storr has reminded everyone to get their actions in one hour before end of day. That screams day powers are in play. I would guess someone is a city governor or something of the like...

Commas or not, she first says it has nothing to do with me voting, then after the comma mentions it has to do with me voting (for X reason, but for voting none the less). So my point still stands on the contradiction so soon after saying nothing.

That whole city thing is not good news for Bunnies, I planned to pressure Firth a bit once proof was shown, but now that would be unsuccessful for today.

Then after reading further I see Firth is not protected.. I like that.. Once Betiko or someone from his city confirms Firth's scummy pushing in the city talk, I know where my vote is heading for a claim. (Mind you I am only looking for a claim at the moment, sooner is better, later means more chance of me not being on to take it off).

Yes Jonty, it's a small case, I can't always make up a page to vote for someone when not voting risks being killed. Deadline to vote is tomorrow and everyone must vote. If we don't get a claim I might head for the No-Lynch so we don't lynch someone with no info.

Right now if someone is going to claim for today we need it by the end of tonight so we can decide whether we go for a lynch today or resist the urge for a single day and see just how bad the nights will be.

FP'd 3 times. Jonty is undecided. I'm pushing for your claim unless someone confirms Firth's scummy activity in the city. Which then I'd be more wanting his claim over yours.

All I am saying is that you contradicted yourself by saying it had nothing at all to do with the vote, but then the very next tid bit you add that it's because of the vote for whatever reason. It doesn't matter that there's a reason, the contradiction is by saying nothing but then including the vote as a factor.

A slip? Maybe, definitely a newbie mistake. As a town or mafia? Well I can't place my bets until I know a card or two from you or someone else. Right now it's a gamble with all the cards in this poker table hidden.

Right now the facts are:

• 4 cities, 6 people in each city.
• Iron Throne is out there.
• Betiko is protected from a lynch at the cost of his own vote.
• Characters are not alignment indicative (but may be role indicative).
• Everyone must vote.

5th fact is just saying we now have just under 24 hours to place our votes. I'd rather get a claim today instead of a random lynch tomorrow. But we have very little facts on the table, most things we are just taking pot shot at theories.

So, the question is Bunnies, do you want to claim by tonight if you're still in the lead of votes against, or do you want to risk being in the lead tomorrow and some people may not be on to withdraw their vote if they decide to let you live?

onto this role claiming business, how is it that someone can merely ask "are you happy with your role" and get fos'ed the fos out, but someone can outright, in multiple posts, ASK for a claim from someone or else he'll lynch them... and NOT be fos'ed? that's not okay with me.

Honestly, I am not paying Jak as much attention because I just got through a game with him where he was gone after relentlessly for super scummy behavior and poor logic and kept digging a bigger ditch for himself over time but at the end of the day, he turned up to be town. I am certainly not against voting Jak but I guess after that experience, I am kind of taking anything he says that makes me think he is town or scum with a grain of salt. Pressuring someone to claim because he personally believes they are scum, yet misinterprets everything they say to the point it seems intentional, honestly isn't that far from what he was doing in that other game. What does bug me is just the sheer amount of time he is spending talking about the towns. He mentions them in most of his posts and he seems very interested in getting information about them.

OMG u guys r crazy. This is the most hard core mafia game I've played in a while.
OK - my take on betiko is that a small thing got blown up. I mean - I can understand why he got attention in the first place, but it's D1 - we don't have enough info! The heat seems to be off for now.
However the pressure is on. It seems we have to vote and quickly! Everyone has to vote and there is a time limit. I'm not used to this. I'm used to taking things slower on D1 and letting it heat up on subsequent days. Sometimes I don't even vote til D2 or 3.
Anyway - I will have to look at it more closely but my gut feeling was more towards others - Neb, pretender77 and ninja.
Ninja seemed aggressive to me, pretender seemed to contradict his normal self (I'm used to playing with him in our clan and he's playing quite differently this time - which is cool, I shouldn't be prejudice but u know when u know someone and they act all weird) and Neb was questioning roles too and asking townie like questions about the best way to filter the info coming in when I know he is an experienced player.
That's how I role - I start off with a few gut feelings and see if it develops into something else.
So I'm not too comfortable with this idea of having to vote every day. I don't think this is in town's favor. It adds an element of pressure which could benefit scum imo.
Anyway - I will try and vote soon as time is running out, but it seems it's gonna be a strategic vote this round rather than an informed one and group decision cause of the pressure....
I appreciate the challenge though.

I don't know which side of the jak/bunny side is more town/scumy... they both have points/potential scummyness. Or they could be both town just butting heads. So I will stay out of that for now.

Betiko is a worthless case now that he can't be lynched, and no-one else has come out to agree that firth posted scummy things in their town, so not much of a case there.

So that I don't wait until the last minute to throw a vote away, I will go to my default and vote crasp due to his potential scummarizing and lack of significant participation so far. (And yes I know I have to make the actual vote in the other thread).

My vote is subject to change if crasp posts some worthwhile things, or a decent case is made on someone... but I figured better to get a vote out now than waiting until the last second.

While you gay blades were busy looking for someone to pick on I was checking the posts for possible third parties. This is actually quite hard because of certain people posting pash. There are a few on here trying to understate the importance of giving out that town role. For a 3rd party recruiter that is a biggo. Getting a spy in every town would be a target. they are there but lets let the lazy fks look for them instead of jumping on pointless bandwagons to make themselves look good.

I'm eager to hear firth's response to this. Based on what I've heard, I would vote firth over betiko atm. Someone had mentioned that mafia often stay on point longer than town for consistency sake and firth appears to be dead set on lynching betiko despite his explanations. I suppose he could just not believe them, but firth seems to want to go straight to lynch without passing GO.

I'm having a hard time getting a read on jak. He seems to be playing his role as if everyone was given the same information from the outset, and has no problem stipulating the "facts" for the rest of us. For example:

Also, I'm trying to make sense of his argument with bunnies, who I'm leaning town, because it seems more like town on town violence than anything. Their argument seems to be over minor stuff but it has been draggin for like three pages now. It's detracting from the game imo.
